  1. I was in extreme pain yesterday and didn't know what was wrong. I thought it was something surgery related. I went to the hospital, and it turns out it was a kidney stone. Any one have a similar experience? I am only 4 weeks out, but hear that my chances of kidney stones is higher due to having Bariatric surgery Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. You can just walk around your house a little bit. You shouldn't overdo it, esp. 6 days out Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. How did each of you reach your goal so fast? I would love to know what you ate (generally) on a daily basis, and when. I am 4 weeks out and hardly lost any weight Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I am very concerned. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks out from my bypass surgery. I have only lost 11 pounds since my surgery. I had a week long hospital stay and gained 6 pounds in the hospital, and I've lost that too. I am getting bummed out and am wondering how this is even possible that I'm not losing weight while eating right around 500 calories or less and drinking tons of Water. Anyone had this happen? And what did you do? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. I am 9 days post op, gastric bypass. I am just newly home from the hospital because I ended up spending a week there from some complications. I am having a LOT of trouble with my full liquid diet getting enough Water and Protein in. I am only able to get about 24 oz water and about 30 grams of protein in! I have a timer and am drinking every 15 mins., but have to wait 30 min b4 and after the protein. I am only able to do 1/4 cup- 1/2 cup Protein shake, so that's only about 6 grams per serving. Does anyone have a daily diet plan (with times) that will allow me to get 64 oz water and 60 grams of protein in a day? Please help!! Also I GAINED about 5 lbs while in the hospital (I'm assuming from all the IV's and swelling) anyone else have that experience? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I'm having the bypass surgery on Sept 15th and have been having some anxiety over everything. From the pre Ops appointments, to the pre op diet, to which Protein drinks to drink, to insurance stuff, to time off for work stuff, and then everyday life things. All of it together is getting me feeling overwhelmed, so much that I'm having trouble sleeping (which is unusual for me). It just seems to all be happening so fast all of a sudden. 18. I started my 2 week pre op diet too. The first week is all liquid with one meal a day, and the second week is all liquid. My bypass surgery is the same as bp, 9/15. I start on all liquids only in a couple of days. This is not easy, and I am starting to get nervous! Haven't been able to sleep well either. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
