Afib after surgery
Do you use CPAP with oxygen at night? I am an advanced practice registered nurse and I have done some research into afib. One of the news theories is that afib could be related to untreated sleep apnea you might want to talk to your cardiologist about a sleep study.

11weeks out Sick & Depressed!
I don't know where people get the idea that hospitals are clean. Far from it. Just think of all the microbes from all the sick people. Clostridium Difficule (C diff) is a bacteria the effects people with weakened immune systems, post-op patients, cancer patients, older folks and people who don't have normal flora in their bowels because of antibiotics. it is difficult to get rid of and very opportunistic.

RNY 7/31- Feeling extremely regretful
Cpower100, PLEASE do not let these posts change your mind!!!! Have a frank talk with your doc about rates of complications. I am an advance practice RN and I know if you get the facts from your doc you should feel confident! I am 2 months out and would NEVER LOOK BACK. NO MORE DIABETES OR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE! Good luck!

I'm pretty sure one week would give you enough time to recover while she's there.

Amazing!
Darby, I walked at my own pace. I don't think I could've jogged it usually took me over 2hrs. I have not had any complications or real problems since surgery. I am doing my first 5K run/walk next week end and I will walk. I'm not at the jogging phase yet.
