  1. I also had RNY Tuesday, July 8, 2014. I'm home. Yesterday I got in 54 ounces of fluid which included some chicken broth and two proteins shakes. Pain seems to be minimal as I haven't had to take any pain meds in the last 24 hours. I do feel hungry which I thought I wouldn't. And unfortunately I haven't lost even 1 ounce. I did walk 15 minutes today so I feel good about that just on the back patio.
  2. Casey999, Had RNY Tuesday July 8, 2014 post -op day 4. Much better day today! I slept well, had a shower, and had my first protein shake and it was pretty good, a bit sweet but palatable! Even water is going down easier today! Thanks for your support how are you today?

  14. I'm having my gastric to bypass tomorrow. I was just reading my nutritionist notebooks and thinking about the protein shakes when I get home. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good one that is palatable and lots of protein? I have never been big on meal supplement shakes like carnation instant breakfast or slim fast hard, for me to drink. Would like some information thanks!
