Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?
Yeah, I watch it all the time. I never really got into Celebrity Fit Club. The one time I was going to watch it, it was the time that "Skreech" from Saved By the Bell was on there and I just couldn't watch it. He was so crude to everyone, it made me sick!

Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?
I know, it's soooo obvious, especially since the OP bailed when all the debating started. I just think it's sad this person has nothing better to do.

I love America's Next Top Model! I think I've seen every episode, lol. What do you think of Whitney? I think she's gorgeous and doing quite well in the competition.

American Idol '08
Man, Paula gets quackier each time I see her. It could have been planned, but I thought she seemed very embarrassed by it. She just didn't seem herself the rest of the show. Who knows...... I didn't think round 1 was good for anyone. I'm glad they had to sing 2. David Cook and Brooke got my votes last night. I thought both of their 2nd songs were really good. I loved David C's second song, it could be a hit right now. BJean, I agree with you, I hope David Cook wins. I agreed with Simon, Brooke's first song was a nightmare. She needs some help figuring out what to do with her body while she is singing. She just looks very awkward. I prefer when she sings with the piano and she can focus on just singing and not having to worry about movement. David A........very predictable. That boy really boils my blood. He gets more irritating every week. I wish he would just go home, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. I thought this was Jason Castro's weakest performance yet. I love his voice, but the songs were boring and didn't show off his vocal ability. I agree with all of you about Syesha. I don't like her style. She needs to accept that she belongs in theatre/or on the big screen. So, I hope it's Syesha that is voted off, but if it's not her, Jason could be in trouble.

Thank you, it's good to see some progress again. Do you watch The Biggest Loser? It's the thing they wear on their arm. It basically monitors how many calories you burn per day and it also tracks food for you. Here's a link, it explains it much better than I could, lol. 24 Hour Fitness: 24 Hour Fitness Centers and Health Clubs

No hard feelings here either. I believe we should be able to express our opinions without harboring bad feelings. That's the beauty of the Rant and Raves. I can express my opinion and move on without holding grudges or harboring anger. I do understand that these celebrities are in the public eye and people are going to critique them. The main thing I was trying to say, was that A LOT of the celebs named were hardly overweight (mainly by the OP). I don't think we should have the mind set that everyone who has gained a few pounds NEEDS WLS. That is how the thread came across to me. There is no doubt that SOME of the celebrities mentioned would most likely benefit from WLS, but many would not even meet the criteria. I think the OP was successful at accomplishing what he/she set out to do, which is stir up trouble. Personally, I like that the thread has ventured off of the original topic, it's much more fun!

I am sooo excited ya'll! My birthday was April 16th and my DH surprised me and told me he was going to get me a bodybugg! I have been wanting one for months but we just didn't have the money to get one. My parents gave me $100 for my birthday, so I am going to put that with some money we have been setting aside. I am going to order it Friday! I just know it's going to take me to the next level in my weight loss. I know it will motivate me to move more and meet my daily criteria.

Mia Sorry you are having a rough time right now. Well, you are working out, so that is good. Are you eating Protein first, then veggies, then fruit or bread? Are you drinking enough Water? Are you drinking with meals? Plateauing is pretty normal for me. Sometimes it lasts a week or two, it has lasted a month before. It can get pretty discouraging. I just got over a long one. If you are doing everything right, you might want to try and change up your routine a little, it shocks the body and often restarts weight loss. Maybe have a really high calorie meal (just one day, then start up strong again with the right foods) and switch up your exercising. One of the trainers at the YMCA told me that if you do the same exercises everyday, your body gets accustomed to it and doesn't react anymore. So he said if you stop losing, do something different for a while. Plateaus are always frustrating. You have done so well since your surgery. Just keep doing everything you can and it will pass sooner or later. About the fill, I think you are right for waiting on that, especially if you sometimes PB. Just make sure you are chewing really well and eating slowly. If you have a daily snack, make sure you are eating a high protein snack because it will stay with you longer. I found these South Beach Diet High Protein Cereal Bars and I really like them. They come in a variety pack with Peanut Butter, chocolate, and cinnamon raisin (my favorite- taste like a cinnamon roll). They stay with me for a while too. Congrats on the pound!!! Yay!! Maybe that means you are over your plateau!!

I hate it when people post just to post.....
You're right, I need some balls. From now on, NO ONE pees on me! Unless I get stung by a jellyfish! :cool2:

When going to a restaurant, what do you order?
I know, I ate sushi a couple of months ago, it was no easy task. I ended up picking it apart to remove the seaweed. It wasn't pretty but it still tasted good. I have heard others on the site mention that some places will put soy paper on it instead of seaweed. I asked last time I went to Sho Guns and they looked at me like I was crazy.

80's Trivia
Oh, Growing Pains is a classic! I had such a crush on him, I think his confidence on the show had a big part in that. I loved him in the movie "Big" too, with Tom Hanks. His sister played on a good one too, "Full House". I love those kinds of shows and I still watch the repeats on TV. Some others I liked were "Who's the Boss", "The Cosby Show", "Facts of Life", "The Wonder Years" (DH hated that show but I really liked it), "Head of the Class", "Different Strokes", and "Punky Brewster". Oh, and "Saved by the Bell" in the late 80's. They just don't make em like that anymore. And cartoons, don't get me started on those, lol. Do ya'll remember pound puppies? I used to have like a hundred of them.
