  1. Hi BeamerGuy! Glad you are still doing okay. If the pain in your left shoulder gets too bad, try putting a heating pad on it. I've read that it really helps. People progress at different levels. I read all the time about people who are a couple of day out of surgery and are starving. I wasn't hungry for at least 4 weeks, maybe longer. I had a lot of internal swelling that took a while to go down. I think that's why I wasn't hungry for so long. So yes, it's totally normal. Just make sure you progress slowly and listen to your body. Good luck to you and I hope you have a speedy recovery!
  2. Apples2 I can't even imagine what your son is going through, and so many others out there. Your son and your family is my thoughts and prayers. God Bless ALL who have served our country!!
  3. Thanks for the info, I'll have to check it out!

I'm glad you are having good results with it. I will eventually have laser hair removal and it's nice to know that many are pleased with their results. Oh, the joys of PCOS...
  5. I do the same thing with food. I don't make very many drinks, but I do this with food all the time. DH laughs at me because he says he feels like he is being interrogated while eating, about flavor, consistency, etc. I don't even realize I do it that much.
  6. As much as I hate to, I really need to do it. My cravings have been soooooo bad lately. So, Atkins.....here I come!
  7. I have the book and have thought about doing it. I'll keep looking in on your progress and maybe I'll try it. Good luck with it!
  8. Where do you get powdered peanut butter?
  9. Like Coltonwade, I won't call myself a success yet, but I am very pleased with my results so far. I was banded 9-20-07 and have since lost 85 lbs. It is starting to really slow down, but I'm sure if I stay at it, I will have success. I started out in a size 28/30 and now I am wearing mostly 18/20's (but still a few 22/24's), depends on the clothes. I wish you the best of luck!
  10. I have had PCOS for at least 11 years. Back in 2004 (towards the end of the year) I lost a lot of weight on Atkins. I began having regular periods after that and the thought of getting pregnant crossed my mind. My DH and I had been trying for quite some time and we decided not to put so much stress on ourselves. We decided to just not worry so much and let things happen in it's own time. Meanwhile, my mother suggested that I drink a concoction of Water (8oz. purified), BRAGG organic raw apple cidar vinegar (about 1-2 tsp), and organic honey (1-2 tsp) mixed well. I did this for 3 months, twice a day. Well, during my 3rd month of doing this, I found out I was pregnant! I'm sure the weight loss was the main reason, but I think the drink helped too. Maybe it's worth a try when you are ready to start trying. Good luck to you!
  11. I need to get busy working out if I am going to be able to walk 5 miles and keep up with everyone else, lol. I usually work out on the elliptical, maybe I should do the treadmill for a while since the muscles used are different....
  12. I love my bodybugg!! On average, I burn about 2500 calories a day, give or take a little. Now that I got a fill, I am hoping I do better with the eating part. Haven't been doing so hot with my food choices lately. Once I get my head hunger under control again, I'm sure I will start losing again. I don't like the fact that I have to log my food (I've never been a fan of logging), but it really is a necessity. So I am going to just suck it up and do it. Good luck, I think you'll love it!!
  13. Congrats on your surgery and your marriage. Welcome to LBT! There are lots of wonderful people here and great information. Good luck!
  14. Hi and welcome to LBT! I'm glad you are doing well!
  15. Jonathan, Sorry you are not feeling so good. Congrats on the new truck though. Hope you feel better soon.
  16. BBK, you look amazing!! If you look that good 6 days after surgery, I can't imagine how you will look in a month...
  17. Hey Kat! I only pop in the PS forum every once in a while. Congrats on your surgery! I'm glad you came through the surgery fine. I hope you are feeling okay. I wish you a speedy recovery. Take care.
  18. kjeter, You look great!! Congrats on your weight loss! Thanks for sharing!
  19. Thanks bamboobabe! I ended up getting .5cc added for a total of 7.25cc. I really don't feel any different yet. Granted, I am only doing liquids, but I can usually tell a difference with my liquids, at least for the first few days. I don't get it...I should have pretty good restriction at 7.25cc right? Elizabeth did say that the more weight you lose, the looser you band can get. Maybe that's what has happened, I dunno? Anyway, I'm hoping when I start eating solids I can tell a big difference.
  20. Great ideas! Sounds like so much fun!
  21. That's a good idea, we could just carpool and everyone give some money for gas. Maybe some of the others will join in. I hope I am able to go because it sounds like a lot of fun!
  22. Hey Leslie, I can't walk with you guys at Darton, but the Callaway Garden Walk sounds good. Is it like a walking marathon or just a walk? How many miles is the walk? What time does the walk start? I'm not even sure I could go, but I want to if I can. It is definitely for a good cause.
  23. I saw some episodes a few days ago that I assume were new. They were ones I hadn't seen before. It's strange though, I just looked through my DVR and it's not scheduled to come on next week, so I dunno. Have you seen the one where Alan walks in the pool? I thought that was new but now I'm not sure...
  24. Leslie, I'm so sorry to hear about your port. I know you are upset right now but try to stay positive and think about the end results. It will be well worth it. ((HUGS)) Feel free to email me if you need to talk okay. I didn't get to meet Leslie (the new lady), she was out of the office. I was hoping to but hopefully next time I'll meet her. Elizabeth did tell me that she would still be around and we would see her from time to time, so that is good. I did get a fill today, halellujah! I really thought I had gained a couple of pounds but I must have been confused about my last weight. I did lose 4 pounds...not what I had hoped for, but at least it was a loss. I'm hoping this fill makes a huge difference. Lately I've been able to eat anything, even doughy bread, and lots of it! I really need to get focused on eating the right foods too, I've been slacking lately. Have a great day everyone!
