  1. Mamato3, sorry you had a bad day! It really is hard to stay on track when eating out. That's the problem I had over the weekend too. I hope you have a better day tomorrow! Are you "night person" too (meaning you stay up late like me)?
  2. I like your new siggie! I love pink, purple and green together. Very cool! Mine is probably too bright for some people but I like it. After weeks of not being able to change it, I went crazy with it, lol. I had to PM Alex for help. It wouldn't let me do anything...he said I had some kind of code on it that should not have been there. Anyway, all is good now. I like to change mine up every now and then. Keeps things interesting.
  3. LOL Renewed! Coffee does the same thing to me. I seem to go on coffee kicks. I won't drink it for a while then a few weeks later that's all I want. I even like the cold Starbucks fraps that they sell at convenient stores. I love Starbucks! I am such a night owl anyway, so I don't mind being hyper at night. It's 12:35 am here and I'm not even beginning to feel sleepy.

Yeah, that one was a doozy!
  5. LOL, that's what I was afraid of! I would probably pass out!

Brandy If I'm not mistaken, Leslie already expressed to Lizzy that this was not directed at her. You and Lizzy were already on the defense before that post. I can't change your mind about how you take this post. All I can do is post my opinion on it and I agree that SOME people are too negative and do not make much of an effort. The majority of people truly try but not all.

Brandy Like Leslie said, there is a difference between trying strugglers and people who don't make an effort. No one is saying you are lazy and eat twinkies all the time. I could see your point if it wasn't pointed out clearly that this was for the people who don't try or give a flip, but it was. It's okay to complain sometimes, we all need to. But it does get annoying when it's the same people ALL THE TIME. To my knowledge, you don't fit into that category. I've seen enough posts to know that some people think the band is going to do all the work and are shocked when it doesn't.

Leslie, I agree! Lizzy and Brandy why would you think she was referring to you? She clearly stated that this was aimed for the people who give up without fighting or trying. Unless you didn't even try, you don't fit into that category. She never said anything about slow losers. We all lose at different rates. Again, it's the people who DO NOT make an effort that are annoying.
  9. Yes, I have days like that sometimes. I think on OCASION, it's okay to indulge (in moderation of course). It does get better with time, at least it did for me. No one expects you to eat perfectly 24/7. As long as you don't make a habit of it, you should be okay. Don't beat yourself up about it. Just get back on track and move on. Good luck to you!
  10. Renewed, how bad is Jillian's video? I know she kicks butt on the BL!
  11. nip, your arms can't be any worse than mine. I already told DH that I am having my arms done in addition to my TT. Hopefully I will lose the desire too! My problem is that I like sweets too much. Don't get wrong, it's a lot better than pre-band, but it could still be better. You have done a phenomenal job!
  12. Leslie, good for you! I played tennis in high school (I probably about 135lbs) and I just told DH we need to start playing again. It is wonderful exercise. Any game that involves running back and forth in all different directions has got to be good! PS. I always whoop my hubby too, LOL!
  13. Here's my official menu for the day: B'fast~ Atkins strawberry shake Lunch~ 2 spinach turkey roll-ups, 1/2c raw diced Jicama Dinner~ 2 ground beef & spinach stuffed portabella caps Snack~ undecided (either a handful of nuts or atkins shake) I did go the gym today too! Very happy with today....back on track!
  14. Hey nip! I added you to the list. Glad you decided to join us. I think we should make this a monthly thing. It really does keep me motivated. Good gravy woman...I can't believe how much weight you have lost! You have done soooo well! Any tips you can share?
  15. Does anyone use the Wii Fit and have a bodybugg? About how many calories do you burn in 30 minutes? Just curious...
  16. Okay...I want one! I have a membership to the gym but I don't go near as much as I should. It's way across town and with gas being so high, I find myself not wanting to make the trip. It looks soooo fun! I mentioned getting one to DH today and he said he would look into it! I would probably still go the gym a couple of times a week and do the Wii Fit at night when I'm bored (since I'm such a night owl). I think I would like the sports games too. DH and I are pretty competetive with each other so I think it would be fun to kick his butt!
  17. Congrats Renewed! Good job!! I am back on track today and so far so good. So far I've had an Atkins strawberry shake, 2 spinach turkey roll ups, and 1/2c of diced Jicama. Not sure about dinner...thinking of making stuffed mushrooms
  18. Eggs do not work for me! I could eat them fine when I was on mushies but not after I started getting fills. I've tried them several times and I come very close to PB'ing every time. I've found it's just easier to stay away from them.
  19. I didn't do the best over the weekend either. We went to Johnny Carino's (Italian nachos ) Saturday night then to the Fun Park. I did work off some of my bad choices playing laser tag though. It was really fun! I am going to the Y today too. I'm sure I will stick to my usual...strength training and the elliptical. I'm still not really to wear a swimsuit in public, so the only swimming I'll be doing is at my sister's house, lol!
  20. Hey Leslie! Glad you are joining in!
  21. Anyone up for a challenge? Challenges really motivate me so I thought we should give a shot. The challenge starts now and will end July 4th. That gives us about 4&1/2 weeks. If you want to participate, let me know and I'll add you to the list. Just list your starting weight, current weight, and your challenge goal weight. I'll also add any updates too! Good luck everyone! georgia girl starting weight: 244 current weight: 244 challenge goal weight: 234 pounds to go: 10 Leslie2Lose starting weight: 226 current weight: 226 challenge goal weight: 215 pounds to go: 11 nip50 starting weight: 193 current weight: 193 challenge goal weight: 185 pounds to go: 8
  22. I didn't make it either, but I came pretty close. My goal was to weigh 237 and I weighed 244 this morning. Oh well, still proud of what I did lose!
  23. Thank you allykat and Leslie! This is the smallest I have been in years and I feel great! Thanks again!
  24. ....because I want to be in Onederland by 9-20-08 (my bandiversary) and I have quite a ways to go!
