  1. I am also asshat clueless and am seeking enlightenment! :tongue_smilie::confused: DOH! I found it. Sorry, Chickie...people suck.
  2. I have my faith, but this sends me up the wall. What do you guys think? Parents pick prayer over docs; girl dies - Yahoo! News
  3. I'm just completely speechless by it all! Charcoal underwear really gets the prize for me. Someone thought of this, and people wear it - because there is a need for it!? Ugg. Have I mentioned today how much I f'ing love my band????
  4. Amen! (And, Amen again - since one is too short!)
  5. I got one...It's recent, too. I'm on a bowling league with people from work. Well, the lane was a little sticky and I went to slide up to the line. My foot stuck and with my mass still in motion, I went flying down the lane. I was wearing low rider jeans and a thong - mistake on my part, since I brought the wrong change of clothes for after work. So, my big ass goes rolling down the lane, which had been oiled, so I'm scrambling to even stand up! My foot is in the gutter, I'm trying to keep my shirt down - and I'm laughing the whole time. And, my big old body is just flopping around!! It's worse when that happens and people get concerned and nice. I laugh at falling down, so I want people to laugh with me! I got back to the table and the bf said, "Nice blue panties!"
  6. LOL...In my relationship, I'm the one walking right on in and he gets embarassed. My mom has a picture of my dad doing the deed - so I guess I get that "potty humor" from her! I'd love to have my own bathroom, though - just so that I don't have the little beard hairs all over my sink! He wants his own so hair isn't everywhere. **** Another note - dry humping when we bend over - OMG!!! I thought mine was the only one immature enough for that! What is that??? It takes all I have to keep from falling over, and he's there getting all hot about it. Um, no thanks....That does not qualify as foreplay!
  7. I actually don't exercise like I know I should. I maybe get 30 minutes, 2-3 times a week. On the weekends it's more with yard work and other activities. As far as foods - I found that bad foods go down just as easy before so I try to stay away from them. I still have some now and then, but it's a struggle for me. I'm starting to plataeu now, though... :huh2: So, I'm working through that now. Posting here and reading about everyone helps me a lot. I feel normal here, and not so alone with the problems that come up.
  8. Wheetsin rocks. I liken it to a small funnel, when people ask me about the band. When it gets backed up, it just slides up and out. I try real hard to pay attention to the full feeling. One thing that's been a hard adjustment is WANTING to eat more. I feel like I should be able to eat more, but I can't, and sometimes I push it. But, it's a learning process... Good luck.
  9. Have you had problems w/gall bladder? I was thinking I was having severe PB episodes, when really I was having gall bladder attacks. I had it removed about a month ago and haven't had any problems since. Fatty foods may trigger it. When I have PB'd...it was nothing like vomiting. It really is more like a burp, it's just that food comes out. And, I only get that when I've pushed past the full-feeling. Vomitting is way different, and you should call your doctor.
  10. I sagged and still do a little. It's gotten better w/weight loss and I'm hoping it won't be an issue. But, when you're 300 lbs like I was there is extra skin everywhere!
  11. I thought it was just me! I hate that site. It's a jumbled mess! I like the organization of LBT soooo much better. My doc recommended that site to me the last couple of visits and I told him NO...send people to lapbandtalk.com. I made him write it down. I told him OH sucks.
  12. OMG - I'm dying. I was drinking when I opened this!!!! I love this pic - where did you find this???
  13. Quit your bitchen. But, if you are farting rainbows, then maybe you should get some of that Just A Drop stuff...I heard that's good for stuff like that.
  14. He's farting rainbows in the fluffy threads. :sneaky:

I thought it was funny that Dan was so cocky all those weigh ins, and saying stuff like, "That's the game." Then, when his head was on the chopping block he was crying like a baby! These guys cry a lot. What's up with that? I do like that Dan owned up to that, though. I think out of all the guys I like Dan the best, only because he's young and has potential to grow up. Mark and Roger are just jerks. And, the fact that they creamed Kelly just because they could really pissed me off. They ganged up on her because she used to be a black team member! Alli was right - they just handed Roger $100,000. Served them all right when the girls kicked ass! I really want Alli or Kelly now, but I'm not sure they'll make it. Roger and Jay still have a lot to lose. I want Kelly, but I think Roger will win the whole thing. :sneaky: Unless the producers "rig" it somehow and give Kelly/Alli an advantage.

Ack! It's driving me nuts! I'm anxious to get other's opinions on what's happening. I'm really pissed at the "good old boys" on the show.

    Anyone watching this tonight?
  18. he he....I love the farting rainbows!
  19. It sounds like he's trying to help, then. Maybe if you explain that you're okay with it and that you're still working on it, etc, then he'll lighten up. Maybe? I don't know about 190. I picked 145 because it's higher into my norm (5'5"), but I haven't been below 200 since early years in high school. I'm not sure what I will look like at 190. I may be happy with it. I'd love to be in 14's! I think that's "normal" and I'm not looking to become a super model, just healthy. I plan on getting healthy first, smoking hot second, and then if I bounce more than 10 pounds upward from whatever weight that is, then I'm tightening up! I know I'm really happy being in the 220's!!! I know people still look at me like I'm huge - and I am, big boobs don't help any - but I feel so much smaller. Weird, huh? Going up I couldn't stand to look at me, and was ashamed of the weight...On the way back down, I'm happy to tell everyone how much I weigh and how much I've lost! I guess I get upset when I read posts like your original post because I know without the support I have from my family I am not sure I'd be able to get through the long haul. And, knowing that, I want that same kind of support for everyone. I love the lapband so much! I was like you and dieted for years, and yeah - I eat the crap foods, but no where near what I was eating. Afterall, I didn't get fat off of too many carrots! :biggrin2:
  20. Oh, dear... Are you doing this for you or for him? Aside from telling him to kiss my fat ass, I'd also be kicking his ass with my big fat foot. But, that's me. At Easter, I had 5 bite size Kit-Kats. I'm not ashamed. Life isn't about NEVER eating crap, but not eating the whole cake - like you pointed out. My daughter and BF both try to stop me, but only becuase they think I CAN'T have it. I tell them both to piss off -lovingly, of course - I'm okay. I'll ask for help when I need it. Have you talked to him about how this makes you feel? Are you able to talk to him? You say you wanted to tell him to shut up - what stopped you? You're an adult, you can judge, can't you? Is he thinking that he's helping? Have you told him what works for help and what doesn't work? Does he know this? 97 pounds is an AMAZING LOSS!!! Good work!!! *** To answer your question: I've only lost 70 and my BF is so wonderful. I'm in 18's now, but still have a lot to lose. He's encouraging and sticks with me. I am able to talk about how I feel with the fills...what foods work and don't...he's been amazing about it. He loved me fatter, and he loves me fat, and I'm hoping he'll love me when the fat is hanging in folds of skin! LOL He'd better, or there goes that big fat foot of mine!!!
  21. Farting rainbows??? How come I never heard this before??? I LOVE this! It's my new catch phrase! Thanks for sharing this! And, I like reading the bitching. It helps to know that everyone else has bumps, too. If I were to read that everything was going great and that everyone experienced bliss and eternal happiness ever-after crap I'd PB!! Life sucks *sometimes* and complaining helps to get it out there and show that you're not alone.
  22. Yay! I noticed that after I'd lost weight I fit in other people's cars better, too. I never wanted to be a passenger for fear of having to climb in the back, or having seat belts that were too tight!
  23. I love sushi! Unfortunately, after I was banded I tried it once and never again. That was several months ago, though, and I'm not sure about trying it now. It was just hard to chew, and by the time I was done chewing it and chewing...and chewing it even more, it was mushy and gross. Not chewing it was a big mistake, too, since it just came right back up, which was also gross! I have just marked it off my list and been happy to lose the weight without sushi! Good luck to you! :crying:
  24. I tried this over the weekend! It was great! Thank you, Georgia Girl!
  25. That brought tears to my eyes! I have 2 dogs...Sallie is a yellow lab. I got her from a "friend of a friend of a friend" kind of thing. I never met the original owners, but something must have happened to her. She's scared of new people, too. If my friends come over, she'll run into the room. She's not mean, just scared and will shy away, or hide behind me. She's come to the point now, 2 years later where she'll come to investigate and even cuddle up to the regulars. She's also deathly afraid of tile - and of course the whole house is tile! So, I have little throw rugs every where and she'll hunch down, and you can see her gatherign the courage to run across the tile. The other is a white boxer, named Ginger, and she has a scar running around her neck. She had a collar on, and the owners never removed it as she got older. She ended up in the SPCA, where she was adopted out to another woman. I got her from that person because the husband didn't want her. She was on her way to return Ginger to the SPCA, but the rep was late and she was just going to leave her tied up outside PetsMart. I said, I'll take her! So, those are my two "babies".
