An Open Letter to my Bathroom Scale-
You tell 'em Tara! And, when you're done whipping that one into shape, I have a jerk scale of my own I'd like "fixed".

All you people do is complain...
Yeah! They did buy it. I keep the plastic covering on my beds, so that may have helped to influence them. Without that, I'm not sure they would have! I was pretty mortified, but laughed my ass off with friends later.

Fricking Hiccups.
No... I have friends in Mass, though. Does that count? I'm from the East coast originally, Virginia, and now live in the Houston area. Follow up on hiccups...I called the doctor and he's in surgery all day. The nurse said that the soreness from the hiccups is normal, and that didn't concern her. (Bummer, 'cause they hurt like a bitch and they concern ME!) But, if I can't get anything down by the end of the day, she'll "attempt" to take some out. I haven't been here before. I've been too tight, but I knew it immediately. I got very little sleep last night because I couldn't lay down. I'm really hoping that I can get something down.

All you people do is complain...
I have an embarassing story involving sex: When I was moving across country, I opened my house to sell things. I lived in a townhouse w/no yard, so yard sales weren't a thing. But, I took a family upstairs to see my queen bed set. They loved it and wanted it right then. Well, I'd forgotten that I'd, um, entertained myself with a certain toy of mine, and when they lifted up the bed, it came rolling off and across the floor. I just walked over to it and kicked the blankets over it. I kept talking like nothing had happened, but they were looking at each other like, "What was that? Was that...Oh, yeah it was."

Fricking Hiccups.
Thanks...I have some of those ice pops (old, though - from my surgery in sept!) But, I can try them. Maybe the cold soothes it somehow...?

Perhaps Ali grabbed them? She seems so determined! She's like a machine!

Fricking Hiccups.
Okay...had a fill today - 1cc. He said it was pretty aggressive given that I haven't had one in months and that I felt I really needed one. (Before my gall bladder surgery in late Feb, I felt that I needed one, but it was stalled due to the surgery.) Soo....in the office, I sipped the cup of water and felt nothing. No problems. He made me wait a little longer than normal to "be sure", but I still had no problems in the office. He recommended liquid diet for 2 days. I left, ran errands, came home, had a bit of broth for dinner. A little tight feeling, but nothing out of the ordinary. Then the hiccups from HELL came. They hurt, they were frequent and I felt sick from them. I PB'd after they stopped, but didn't try to eat/drink anything else. I SEEMED to be okay. I tried to go to sleep tonight and as soon as I laid down the gurgling started. I had to wake up to throw up - about 3 times now. I seem to be okay if I'm sitting up, but if I try laying down, it's gurgling and throwing up! Here I am, 1am - and I'm not really a night bird - and I am just waiting for the doc to open. First AM appointment - I'm there! Obviously, I need an unfill...but I don't understand why I was fine for hours, then all of a sudden NOT okay. Is it possible the hiccups caused damage? Has anyone had trouble with band due to hiccups?

Job-related problem.
I say that you're young enough to do it, go for it. You don't have any other obligations, do you? No kids, family or organizations that you need to devote time to, right? If I could go back, I'd have done something like that. As long as you know your limit and are willing to back out of an obligation if it gets too much, and not put your thesis on the back burner. But, you present yourself as someone who knows their limits, and you seem like a good judge of yourself. I'll think you'll be fine. Especially if you're bored now. You'll never know what can fill that time best, unless you start plugging stuff into that empty space.

 Like I said, I'm dumb about that. I can see it though... Especially if he's feeling that connection of weight loss with her. I was surprised Paul still went home to his GF. I liked that Kelly was like: No. he he Do you think Paul has lost any weight on his own?

I was wondering how he'll treat his wife. She's chunky....and he flipped when he went home and the kids were eating badly. I wonder if that relationship will last. He seems to really be emotionally involved with his weight loss - and that's good and all, but if it's not shared w/the wife, then how can they connect? I'm sure they can, but I just think it will be hard for them to adjust. I hope they do.

Yes, go Ali! I get more of a family vibe from them....but I dunno. I'm kind a dumb about that kind of stuff. I'm just SOOO happy the girls got it. I do think that the whole "America votes" thing was due to the women vs. men being unfair and all the blogging I've read about it. Possibly Kelly's loss was rigged...But, I hate to think so.

Liquid Diet = Stupid!! Why????
Personally, I was told low carb, low fat between the last doc visit and surgery (about 4 weeks). But, regardless of what I was told, or what anyone was instructed - it's Doc's orders. I am sure anyone chosing a surgeon for such an important life decision would research this deeply. Therefore, if they specificaly are told to do a liquid pre-op, I think there would be a good reason made by a qualified doctor. I'm not sure anyone here can answer why a doctor would do that, or would not do that. Are there any doctors here that can answer? Perhaps an individual-by-individual basis.

 Ha! I know, right? I love the highlights from past weeks. It's funny how you see them week to week and you don't see it, but then you show them side by side with their old self - it's amazing!

You know...I'm beginning to think about how Julian's mom came and offered her therapy to the "boys club" and they all scoffed at it and turned it down. But, all this crying makes me think that they should take her up on that... Good grief! I do understand that it's emotional, and I'm sure I'd be crying - but I think Mark has some issues that he needs working on.

All you people do is complain...
I never shaved off anything...I feel left out! I remember putting Ben Gay on an ex-bf and he ran almost immediately to the bathroom and threw up for 30 minutes straight. Before the BenGay he'd been fine, just a sore back from lifting something wrong. I can't imagine how he'd have felt if he'd, ah, scratched that itch with it!

Wow...thanks! I'm going to check around here for it. Her b-day is coming up and I know she'd love to have that done.

How long does something like that last? Would it be easy on a kid's hair? (She's almost 11.) She'd love that!

All you people do is complain...
My daughter gets grumpy with that, too. I've fried my hair so much over the years that my hair just hangs there no matter what I do. I just bought a Chi - for my daughter, but I didn't tell her that. She's 10 and will take it to her room and it will be gone. So, it's in my bathroom, safe and sound where all $150 investments should be! It works pretty well with her hair, which is thick and curly. When she lets it dry normal it hangs like little ringlets around her face. I love it sooo much, but she wants it straight as a board. Youth is wasted on the young!
