  1. Where? I just did a search for Biggest Loser, and couldn't find it. I have gripes about last night's show!
  2. Oooh...a rave! Wow. What a positive uplift. Thank you! :cursing: I've never seen My Size Yoga. Yoga scares me a little, but I may have to try it out. Do you need a lot of space for it?
  3. Fish makes me gag! (Wait...where am I?)
  4. Ew...okay...that picture just doesn't do it justice. They are way too yummy. Like funnel cake, only with a gooey center.
  5. I've never been to Chicago! I would love to go, though. I had a good friend who was living there, but never got around to visiting her. I saw on tv there's a fast food joint where the lady insults you. I would like to go there. (I'm sick...what can I say?)
  6. It's just weird for it to be cold in the am, then really freaking hot by the afternoon. I'm not used to that yet. It's also hard to believe it's really October. I mean, REALLY? October? Am I being Punk'd? Wait...no, can't be - I'm not famous.
  7. My toes were cold coming in to work today. But, I was wearing flip-flops and had the windows down. I love this brisk, but not too cold weather! Having cold toes reminded me of my old mini-van. Almost 100k miles on it and the heater went haywire. I was living in VA, and it was winter. The heater would blow warm air if I was moving, but as soon as I stopped, it would blow cold air. The way to work took me through several traffic lights, and I was stopped a lot. I had ice INSIDE my window. That, I didn't love so much.
  8. I caved! DH, after all his strength this weekend, went out and got ice cream. He has an ear infection and a sore throat and wanted something to soothe it. :cursing: I had some. So, today my count is back to 0 days without ice cream.
  9. I can pass up Twinkies, but the fried version is good. Love the fried Oreos, too.
  10. Hi everyone! I wanted to add that I had a weak moment over the weekend. I had nothing in the house, and wanted to go get something at Cold Stone...Love that place way too much. DH said, "NO. You don't want that." Well, I hate it when people do that. YES, I DO want that, you hateful bastard! *stamps foot*. But, he just stared me down and I didn't do it. (loving him and hating him.) Thank goodness! I feel great.
  11. Maybe if I shared.....?
  12. Well, I know what I'm getting for lunch today. I jr. cheeseburger from the kids meal! I'm a cream and sugar person. Or now, non-fat, non dairy creamer and splenda. I like iced coffee in the afternoons. I'll make a small cup of coffee, about 1/2 full, and then add it to a big cup of ice. Sometimes I'll add some vanilla and milk to it. I'd like to add Bailey's, but I think the boss would frown on that.
  13. I want a hamburger...Watched "How I Met Your Mother" last night and my friend, DH and I were practically drooling by the end of it.
  14. Last night - normal walk/run regime on treadmill for 30 minutes total. I've mostly abandoned the c25k instructions and just gone with advice I read on a running thread. It said, walk until you're bored, run until you're tired. I do that, and I run longer than I ever thought I would. I can run for five minutes and not die. Who knew? This morning, I wanted to wake up early and do more. I ended up hitting snooze twice, but did get on the treadmill for 1/2 mile run in about 8 minutes. Not too bad for being 1/2 asleep. Now I'm at work, sipping my coffee and I feel GREAT! (Thanks for this thread! It keeps me going when I really don't want to.)
  15. Hi, all...I admit, I've been somewhat slacking over the weekend. Sat, ran/walked for 30 minutes, then did floor stretches for another 20. It just felt good to stretch! I remember reading somewhere that if people stood up and stretched the way animals did each time they got up, then we'd be much better off. I've been watching my dogs and they do stand up and stretch the back legs, and their back frequently. And, sorry Cowboy fans - I had to root for my home team, the Skins, yesterday.
  16. I'm not an early bird! DH will get up hours before he has to and I just don't get it. I roll out of bed, sleep during the shower, then slap paint on my face and head out the door.
  17. I did nothing yesterday. Wait...not true. I walked around the campus at work during my lunch, so that was 30 minutes of *strolling*. I don't count it too much because I didn't even sweat. I just wasn't in the mood. I went home and put on my workout clothes, but didn't do anything. I kept telling myself if I'm wearing the clothes, I'm one step closer to doing it. But, then I didn't. It's funny - today I'm feeling it! I'm groggy today and I know it's because I didn't exercise.
  18. Hi, all...I have been modifying the program somewhat. I'm between weeks 2 & 3. I walk one minute and run 2. I think I'm ready for week #3, I'm just a little nervous to try it. But, I am doing it, and I go at least a mile each time. I never would have thought I could do this!!
  19. :rolleyes2: hello all - I'm glad to see you all have been doing well, and welcome newcomers! I admit I've been struggling. DH ate the last of the ice cream last night and he asked if I wanted any. I said NO THANK YOU. I was proud of me. So, now it's all gone, life is mostly back to normal and I don't see the need for "comfort food" anymore. DH is a big diet coke fan! I wish he'd drink more water, but I can't say much. I'm also addicted to coffee. If I gave up my coffee for water, I think I'd do better. But, one addiction attatime, right?
  20. Yes, yes...go Cowboys. :rolleyes2: (I'm officially a Texan, now...right? Been here over 2 years, and have gone through a hurricane. I can now back the 'Boys, right?...Just don't tell my Redskin-fanatic family.) Okay, got up yesterday and DID NOT WANT TO DO A DAMN THING. But, did anyway! I ran/walked my mile and then some, then took the dogs to the dog park. No one else was there, so we got to run with them and be goofy as hell - and it was great. DD wanted me to try to do a cartwheel and I was feeling good enough about myself that I *tried*. Basically, I put my hands on the ground and flopped my fat legs around a couple of times. But, it was fun!
  21. I don't miss the snow...I love TX weather. It gets just cold enough here to remind me that I don't miss VA weather. :rolleyes2:
  22. 3 hours of yard work (tough, little stuff - weeding, bending, pulling out rocks, etc.) and 20 minutes of run/walk on treadmill. DH said, "You're a better man than me." He took a shower while I was on the treadmill. It felt great!
  23. LOL...I know. She breaks out the very bestest eye-rolls when I say that kind of stuff to her. But, hey...this is why I had a kid...to torture, torment and embarass until she runs away. ...Right?
  24. luluc - you've got your hands full! A 2 mile run to clear your head - I just saw that from your earlier post. wow. You're my fitness inspiration!
  25. I swore when I got my dogs I'd walk them....but lazy fat me won out and I've just been letting them run out in yard. Now they're so used to that, and I'm grumpy at me. They HATE the leash for bathroom times. They do like to go on walks, but they pull so much. The boxer will actually walk in a straight line, but the big 'ole dumb (but sweet) lab walks side to side because she wants to "play". The leashes get tangled, they'll hit the back of my knees and I almost go down. It's very funny watching it from a distance, I imagine. :crying:
