I don't hide too much of my past. I haven't told her everything, but she knows I used to do be one of the bad kids and that life has been hard up until now. Growing up my mom used to mix softened butter with karo syrup, and we'd dip bread into. Gee... Why am I fat? And, it is still Wednesday! You nailed it, because all week it's felt like this! I'd told DD she can talk to me about anything, but she doesn't. She's so private and that's what scares me the most. She won't even raise her hand in class because she doesn't like to talk. I worry that she'll think of something and not share with anyone. But, yeah, her friends are starting to call me mom. DH can't stand that their always at our house, but I'd rather that than not even know where she is. Nah...it'd be Wednesday. DD doesn't outright lie, she just doesn't answer the question fully. She's getting good at being sneaky, so now I have to ask my questions with as many parameters as I can think of: "Did you do ALL the homework that ANY teacher assigned to you at ANY time, due ANY DAY this YEAR?" That's when she shrugs and says, "I guess so." ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!

That's what I did, too. I think eyeliner and boobs was under the "stuff"...I'm at work now so it's blocked.

I'd like to just go ahead and skip that 13-18 phase. I was horrible, too. I snuck out, I lied, I smoked, I had sex - it got to the point where mom no longer cared. I'd just tell her, "I'm leaving and will be back next week." She'd just say, "Okay." I'm lucky I'm alive, really. I want DD to be better than me, but it looks like she's got that sneakiness to her that I had. Funny, she thinks her ideas are fresh and new. Sorry, kid...been there. Done that.

It's funny, I wore a blue shirt and brown pants just like this today. Yeah, my wardrobe is boring.

I so hope you're joking! I think (since you asked) that you really need to figure out what you want. We love AT&T and will never go back to Comcast if we can help it. Don't know other services to compare it to...but AT&T has worked out well for us.

This was definitely more of the tear jerker show. I thought it was interesting the the blue-boys blew up at Jillian and won't work with her, but still hand her their shirts to hold. I want to be Tara when I grow up. I'm 100% behind her.

DD is 11 almost 12, and the girl is 13...don't know if she's close to 14 or not. We use U-Verse...

I like Jillian. I think I'd like Bob, too, since we really don't see it all. But, overall I'd prefer someone like Jillian working me. But, that's what is so great - folks who hate that then they can route for Bob. I did see on an interview that they're looking for another trainer...although they said they're not getting rid of Jillian or Bob. So, that should be interesting...maybe 3 teams?

I haven't seen any more movies lately at all! Time's just flown by. Had a chance to see Taken and Seven Pounds, but couldn't get the time.

Carrie...How did your talk go? Are you guys okay now?

PJTP - I'm getting cold feet about the new house. So many people are dropping like flies at work and I'm scared DH and I are going to be one (or two!) of them. It may just be safer to stay put. Also, DD is hanging around a girl a year older who has a bf and is bragging about how the kissing was. I am SO not ready for DD to even have friends who are kissing!!!! Ugg. Can't I trade her in for a newer model...something out of diapers, but can't express pissiness yet?

Funny you say that about nails....I was the untrustworthy one over that issue many years ago. My then BF asked me not to chew my toenails. (After baths, I'd chew them when they were soft...I don't do that anymore - don't judge. :lunch: I was young.) I laughed and said, sure I'll stop - without really meaning it. I thought it was no big deal...why's he getting his panties in a bunch? - The next day I was doing it again. He FLIPPED. He was ready to break up because I'd said that I'd stop, and I didn't. For him there was no grey area. It was a little lesson for me about trust. Now I don't agree to something I'm not willing to do or not do.

I agree with you tap, 100%. I think if it's been happening for years, then he's not likely to stop. He was just saying what she wanted to hear ("don't worry honey, I'll NEVER do it again") and then turning around and hiding it. That behavior is not acceptable, no matter what the subject is, whether it be a hot-topic issue like porn, or something more mundane.
