Hello! When I came home from Mexico after my surgery eariler this year I got sick and had to go to the ER. I am getting the bills now and I owe almost $800 (it's sad, nothing was even wrong with me), my mom is telling me if I go offer to pay it all up front then sometimes they will take up to half off. Has anyone tried this before? Just wondering before I go in there and ask. Thanks

I didn't tell anyone except my parents and one friend. Sometimes I wish I would have told people because I think I would be under more pressure to lose weight and stop screwing around if people did know. Also I am always afraid that if I get into a fight with my friend, then she would tell people. So if I could go back, I would tell people, but it's too late to tell now.

I have a keloid (I think, one of my scars if red raised and hard), it's been there for about 3 months. I was wondering if anyone else had these and how long they took to go away. I tried using those scar sheets, but they kept falling off. Thanks!

I do the same thing! I tell myself don't step on it! But I do anyway. I actually threw my scale away a couple months ago, but now I think I might want to buy a new one because when I step on it and I put a couple pounds back it makes me want to exercise!

Talk about embarassing PBs. I was out to dinner with a friend the other day. I had 3 small boneless wings. I was probably eating too fast. I felt the worst feeling ever. I couldn't stop burping, I was gonna try to run to the bathroom, but it flew out of my mouth, I had to grap a paper plate that was on the table really quick and use it. Thank God no one was looking while I was pulling slime off my lips!

I was at work yesterday (at a nursing home), we got new chairs for the dining room, and they were smaller then the old ones. One nurse was debating if bigger residents were going to fit in them or not. So I walked in and she said to me "why don't you try it?" and I said laughing "why because I'm fat?" and she said "I need someone a little wider bottemed to try them out!" and then another coworker said well "big bottemed girls make the world go round" so, theres my compliments of the day!!

I guess it depends on the person. I was banded on a Thurs., got really sick and was in the ER on Tues., and went back to work at a nursing home (w/ some heavy lifting) on Saturday and I was fine.

I've also gotten the "you have such a pretty face" I'm like what about the rest of me!! "you'd be so pretty if you'd lose weight" what I'm ugly now?!!!! Last year I was at work and a coworker was talking to me and outta nowhere she said "have you ever thought about becoming a model?" I was like lauging like yeah right, and she said "I mean for large people" I had to laugh because others were around, but I was so embarassed!

I wasn't diagnosed with obesity by a Dr. , but obviously I was. Would that be a problem, or maybe only if I got audited?

Mari Ann, I'm sorry this happened to you. It hurts and embarasses me so bad when anyone says something about my weight. I work in a nursing home, and some of the old folk don't even know their name anymore but they'll look over and say "look at how big she is" I wanna cry and they don't know any better! One of my good friends always tells me (in front of all my co-workers) how pretty I am and how nice I dress for a "thick girl" like I'm supposed to be ugly and dress sloppy because I'm "thick" people just need to keep their comments to themselfs. We'll be thin one day and show them!!

Has anyone done the Atkins diet along with having a band? Is there any reason not to do it? Just wondering... Thanks

I'm not sure if I have an ulser or not. Before I got my band I would have burning in my upper stomach. It would go away for months and come back. I haven't felt it since the band, the past few days I feel it again. My question is if I do have an ulser would it effect the band? I worry alot, but I hate to go to the Dr. The burning is higher then the band. Anyone have any input about this would be great. Thanks alot!

Does anyone know how to get rid of these scars?? Mine seem to have not changed at all since they've been healed. One of mine is still raised above the skin. Has anyone tried those scar sheets?? Help! Thanks...

I had my surgery done in Mexico and I wish I would of found him and his good price before I went. I am now going to him for my fills.

I just had a fill with Dr. Pleatman last week. He charges $250 for the first fill/consult, and $150 for each after that.
