  1. I watched it as much as I could with two little kids running around and my 5 year old, who is weirdly politically aware, was interested. I am thrilled he was elected and I look forward to what is to come!
  2. I am going to try a class tonight at the Y at 6:30 to give it a try. I suspect I will have my ass handed to me.
  3. It was a while before I could feel mine. Now I can feel it easily but cannot see it.
  4. Dang it, they were doing the promo for what happens next week and my DVR cut it off!!! It appears the the two biggest and youngest guys are below the yellow line? I would hate to have to choose.
  5. I have spent months at the gym going nearly everyday and sweating my face off and never losing more than a few pounds. After 6-9 months of this I would get distracted and stop going for a while. The problem was not how much I was working out, it was how much I was eating. It is my opinion that since you already have a good habit of going to the gym, you have a great shot at being successful with the band. Those habits are already in place. Imagine what you could accomplish with one more tool in your arsenal!
  6. You are assuming that I meant she was fed up with you specifically or personally. What I meant to suggest is she may be fed up with your school of thought and responded in a manner to express that rather than being bitter. Of course, this is just my opinion.
  7. I dont know if you are male or female but in the chance you are female, did you see a GYN during that time? Or perhaps a chiropractor where they recorded your weight?
  8. I suppose things like this can be interpreted any number of ways.
  9. I dont think she is bitter. Just fed up.
  10. Thanks for the rec. I went to the Brooks website and they have an interactive menu for picking out the best shoes for you and apparently, the adrenalines would suit me as well.
  11. Being compliant to what the doc wants me to do. Working my ass off at the gym very limited junk food
  12. I can only speak for myself but I am not wanting lipo for skin issues, I know it wont take away saggy skin or cellulite.
  13. I know this is completely random but I HAVE BICEPS FOR THE FIRST TIME. Just sayin'
  14. I have good luck with new balance with a solid rigid sole. I am an overpronator.
  15. I have these things hanging off the sides of my thighs that have been there since I hit puberty. I need lipo on my camelsacks. Other than that, I wish my tummy were flatter and I could stand a touch of lipo around my waist. Considering I have had two kids, I fared pretty well. If I had to pick one are it would be outside thighs.
  16. Oh, FYI, those plastic cups that fruit comes in (like mandarin oranges etc) make great snack cups for kids. I also save them for poster paint. Those creamer containers with the press top lids work well for the kind of poster paint that come in powder form that you have to mix with water. You can store the mixed paint in those. Sorry for the hijack!
  17. My doc stresses not to do a HP/LC. He wants us to eat protien first, then a healthy veggies, then starchy foods like potatoes, etc. I get lots of protein but a surprising amount of fat and my fat intake is coming from fish, peanut butter, olive oil, avocados (yum). I find that even my worse cravings can easily be solved with a generous spoonful of peanut butter. Since starting to include these kinds of fat my hair and skin look great, btw.
  18. It IS awesome and I would thank the pilot for being so calm under pressure and for saving all those people. He did not loose his cool and pulled it off. It si amazing. I heard that one of the people on the plane commented that they had had fender benders that were worse. That being said, I dont think god was the one flying that plane. It was the pilot.
  19. Not everyone is suffering with eating the wrong foods or trying to bypass the band or dealing with willpower. You have to realize that a lot of people who are successful with the band are out living their lives and not on a message board (present company excluded :scared2:) so you might not hear their success stories. The difference between the band and a standard diet is I am not hungry. Being hungry is what killed every diet I have ever been on. The band may add some of its own issues but I would gladly deal with those issues as a trade off of being able to live my life a normal size and to be able to live my life substantially longer.
  20. Reduce, reuse, and recycle. If I can get more than one use out of something, I will, and then I will recycle it. That is not being cheap, it is being environmentally responsible.
  21. Mine for sure does fluctuate during the day. I used to get really uptight about it but not anymore.
  22. My doc wants me to come in for a small unfill, about every 4 or so weeks, until my weight levels off. I will always be careful of the amount of food I eat at one sitting, though. I dont want to stretch out my pouch (again)
  23. The second I get up in the morning, after I pee in the morning, after I have coffee, before I get dressed, after I get dressed, after I come home from the gym, before I jump in the shower, after I jump in the shower, before lunch, after lunch, before I get my jammies on, before I go to bed........ I think you see what I am sayin' here!
  24. Is this where the party is?
  25. I was on full liquids including cream Soups, broth protien shakes, etc. I recommend having your doc check your pouch with a barium swallow to see how it looks. Priscilla- I wasnt smart, I got lucky! I went to my doc thinking I needed a fill and it was caught in time.
