Pat, Since you usually don't want anything to eat until around 2, do you eat late at night? I don't eat breakfast now, and eat around 12 and I'm hoping to be banded the end of July. You've done such a good job. Sandie

i hope this isnt a bad sign!!!! my dr. office sent in my paper work to united health care 6 days later i got approval letter but it was for gastric bypass. so i called the dr . office insurance lady said i am so sorry i coeded it wrong. would you rather have the bypass? i said no mam so she resubmitted it . i called uhc today it is still in review , it had been in review for almost 10 days. why so quick for the gastric & not lap band my insurnace covers both. i have a tentative date for july 11-14,. they gave a 4 day window? what do yall think? sandie

i saw a commerical yesterday for the lap-band it was from baptist hos/ giving a toll -free number. i am in tenn. i stopped what i was doing & watched it. 1st time i have ever seen one for lap-band . i was so excited..

i take synthroid to keep my thyroid elavated/ i havent been banded yet but my information is on the way to the insurance comp. when i had my blood work from my pcp it showed to be off (thyroid) so she sent me to a specialist . when i went to the band surgeon he made me get another blood test done he said it had to come back normal before i could be considered so the med. helped. are you having trouble.. sandie

weliner77 when i had my consult the dr wanted to make sure i wasnt doing this for cosmetic reasons. so you might just want to throw that in yourself that is for health reasons so you can feel better & do things you havent been able to do . he stayed on the cosmetic thing it seemed like forever. sandie

jeanna. thank you for sharing that with us. i agree about the lower bmi. my bmi is 36 & i am barley making the cut for the dr. to send it in to the insurance company if it doesnt cover it i will be self pay . i think you look great thanks again.sandie

princess; just think how beautiful you will look thin in a scarf or hat ,. my hair is thin also really dont have must to lose in the 1st place.

a friend of mine just got the band & she told me she asked her dr about the hair lose & her dr put it this way to her >if you had to shave your head to lose your weight would you do it ? & she said yes so then after that she said her worries went away because he said what little lose she had would come back.
