Need help with something...
I have to agree. I think it might hurt his ego a little but I dont think it will destroy him. it is not like your going to rub it in his face or anything. I think he is stronger then that. he MAY lash out...all little boys do when they get upset but I am sure he will still be proud of you.

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
Thanks I talked to my mom this weekend and she said that she would loan me whatever I could not come up with in time for the surgery. I am still going to try and get all the money together myself because I know they are tight with their money but it is nice to know I have that to back me up. It takes a load off my mind knowing I have them as a back up.

Out of Pocket expense after insurance
I understand that They had to wait to see if insurance would pay and all that but I just wish I would of thought about my cost before the last minute. So that is one of the reasons I wanted to start this thread so others could posibly think about saving some money for the actual surgery even if insurance covers it. Like mine, Insurance covers just not 100% and as i see even if insurance covers 100% you still have to pay something. For being a planner I feel I didn't plan very well. I am just lucky my parents said they would loan me the amount I need to cover the cost so I dont have to postpone the surgery.

Out of Pocket expense after insurance
Wow. I wish mine was 100%. I am looking at insurance covering 90% of the first 10,000 and 95% of the second 10,000 plus meeting my deductable. So From what I understand I could end up paying 1,500. Plus meeting my deductable. Which is not bad but I wish I had thought about that cost in the begining of this process. So I could of started saving 6 months ago instead of now at the end trying to figure out how to gather the money in 6 weeks.

Out of Pocket expense after insurance
i am waiting to hear back from my dr. I was told I have a $300 deductable and that they pay 90% of the first 10,000 and 95% of the next 10,000 So does that mean I am probably going to have to pay $1800 It seems like a lot to me. and I dont know how I am going to come up with that kind of money. but I need to have it done. What do you think?

Sick of Protien Shakes!!! HELP!
I personaly LOVE the unjury ones. The unflavored I add to cottage cheese, yougart, Soup, smoothies, mashed potatoes. What I do is measure out a scoop or 2 and bring it with me and add a bit at a time to different food. so I get the whole amount of Protein just not all at once.
-
Reviews of protein powders?
I too like Unjury. The unflavored is great in jello or yougart or sprinkled on anything. The chocolate or vanilla is great just mxed with milk. I need to order more. yum

Husband getting new job thus changing insurance companies
You can always get COBRA I think you keep your insurance and only have to pay so much a month to keep that insurance for however long you need it. It is kinda expensive like 500 a month but it is an option.

Finally, something to slow me down

Liver, UGH
I had never eatten liver when I was a kid because my parents hated it. When I had my first job as a salid girl in a 5 star resturant the chef Ali made liver and he told me to taste it to see if it was seasoned properly. when I told him I had never had liver before he told me to try it. If I didnt like it I could spit it out. I think it was so tasty. and from then on I loved liver...if it was cooked properly. My grandparents have a tendency to over cook it and make it dry or chewy. chewy meat= bad
