  1. Lessnless, you have my ultimate favorite saying on your post ...if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.. I love this saying!
  2. LOL I am sitting at my desk rolling with laughter. WASa BB you are crackin me up. Well Laurend at least you know what you dont like. lol
  3. Something I am trying is getting pictures together of things I want to do and cant at my present weight. Or wont may be the case. Like horseback riding and kayacking shopping in "normal" stores Wearing pretty shoes buying bras from a fancy store having matching bra and panties, playing on the floor with my nieces, rollerskating. If I have a reminder of WHY I want to lose the weight I am hopping it will keep me on track. I am actualy very proud of myself I went to the gym yesterday to work out when I would of normaly wimped out on going. I had PMS and a quiz to take and still went to the gym. Props to me.
  4. Just so you are aware Caffiene actualy can make you dehydrated. For every 8 oz of a cafanated beverage you have you should have 16oz of a non caffinated beverage. I had an issue with being severily dehydrated because of my soda intake. I have since given up soda completly. Just be careful.
  5. I am at 376 and have been using a trainer for about a month If he tells me to go on a machine that I know I cant do I just tell him and he adjusts my work out to be on another machine. I do a lot of walking and weights for upper body strength training. I have big legs and my trainer told me he didnt want to build up my legs any more and walking or riding a bike would be good enough for keeping them in shape. I am still pre band and just by working out I have lost 10 lbs. I can even make a muscle and tell I have one. It makes me so happy
  6. I have to say dont beat yourself up 22lbs is much better then gaining. Be proud of yourself for taking the steps you HAVE taken and dont beat yourself up of the things you havent done YET. One step at a time
  7. I am still a while off from surgery but I gave up soda's cold turkey about 2 months ago. The headaches lasted a long time and I refused to take migraine medicine because they contain caffeen so I just "worked" thru the headaches. It does get easier. It is just hard for me sometimes when I go eat somewhere not to say large coke. I forget sometimes and have to catch myself. It is more of a habit then a craving for me any more.
  8. I love the idea of the infant fork and spoon. I did buy some baby bowls to keep my portions small I also bought some nice Asian bowls that I think are for Sushi but I think I can use them better because they are small
  9. If your close enough with them to share the kind of information about food and your surgery. Just bring what you will be eatting. If they ask what your eatting or IS THAT ALL?! Just tell them your still healing and this is what you can have. They may be interested in a positive way and may even be thinking about the surgery themselfs. Some times I think everyone is judging me on what I eat and how much I eat. when sometimes they are just curious about the awsome food I have and how it is made or where I got it. I have a co-worker who is diabetic. and eats pancakes every morning in the office. I know she shouldnt have them being diabetic. but it is not my place to say. and I will bring that up if she judges my food choices after the band.
  10. Thanks for the understanding. I do apreciate it. So do you "feel" a PB comming on? Or is it a all of a sudden thing? Do you have time to get to the bathroom or not? is basically what I am asking.
  11. Yeah that is it the fat trapper. I bought my extra's at wal-mart. I have seen them in walgreens and target too. It is one of my big fears to PB in public. My parents and close friends know about the band but the rest of my family dosent know. Seems backward I know but if you knew my family you would understand. They are the "You dont NEED to be eatting that" while they are eatting it. Or even the Here Save the big portion for Cerrin you know she eats a lot. Geesh can we point out what I eat and make it any more embarasing. My sister even went so far as to tell my niece her daughter. you shouldnt be eatting that because you dont want to grow up to be fat like aunt Cerrin do you? I was sitting in the next room. Talk about a stab in the back geesh gotta love my family. sorry for the small rant.
  12. I have these bags at hole that are super thick. they are for Oil or Grease from cooking. They belong in an oil trap that i have kept under the sink I have bought extra of the bags for a few dollars for like 8 or 10 bags. Maybe something like that will work. thicker and not too big but big enough and not too expensive you dont feel bad about using them. What do you think?
  13. The company I work for has slowed down on the SHIRTS but the best things are the duffle bags! I prefer them and they get used. anyway I also have to agree with reading Wasabubblebutt comments she is awsome! and very smart about what she says. love her
  14. Damn I havent showed my stomach in public since I was 5 so I dont think some scars are going to bother me. lol no matter how small I get I dont see me in a bikini. lol man the thought of me in one has me rolling
  15. I am in the waiting for insurance phase too. But what I will miss the most is french fries. The thing I will miss the least is the fat clothes
  16. Something I want to add is why think of someone elses 30-40 lb loss in a year as bad. THEY LOST IT! hell I have never managed to lose 30lbs and keep it off. If the band does at least that much for me the booyah! I plan on working my but off to be a BIG LOSER but hell I would never snarf at someones 30-40lb loss. because it is still a loss!
  17. Thank you Faith I think it was very well put. I am NOT banded yet but thinking about doing damage to a tool I ASKED-BEGGED for them to put in it stupid. I know it is going to be really hard to stick to the liquid thing. But I can do ANYTHING for a month/ two months if it means my LIFE is going to be better
  18. Someone told me to try using plain yougart instead of mayo. (I am alergic) I havent tried it yet because I havent gotten a great recipie for it yet. any sugestions
  19. Has anyone tried the "Naked" drinks? They have a Naked protein smoothie. I was wondering if it was "good protein or tasted good?
  20. Hell just remember Your weight can change their IGNORANCE will not.
  21. Hello everyone. I started at 376 BMI of 63 waiting to be banded. Dr, Surgion, phycyatrist, and Nutritionist apointments all for 17th and 18th of this month then just wait for insurance approval. I have already lost 9lbs and am wowed all I am doing is watching how much protein I am eating And chewing my food and No Caffeen (my spelling sucks sorry)
  22. You probably didnt put enough Miso Paste in it.
  23. Years ago I worked in a Quality lab where we had green long sleeve work shirts and Lab coats. I bought mine from Sears workers catalog. They had really large sizes and work clothes and uniforms. I make work reimburse me for them it took a long time but they eventualy did. You might even consider asking for the suplier e-mail or number and calling and asking them if their is a size cut off. I also worked for a video rental place that had special shirts and they only came in XL I needed atleast 4X. I called the company that supplied the shirts and told them what I needed and they provided me with a 5X with the logo and everything. They said they dont advertise it because too many people try and get the super baggy and hangs down too far. ANYWAY...you might try going around the office people
  24. My first question to you would be Do you Really want to lose the weight? if you do then follow the doctors orders. If you dont then dont have the surgery. Personaly, I would rather be on liquids for 2 months and have a healthier body after then to eat the whole time and wine about why I am fat. You know why you shouldnt be drinking. So listen and follow it.
  25. Take it to HR and get them to step in if it is really bothering you. Making comments about someones personal aperiance in a work place is a form of discrimination. I assume you told them you dont apreciate the comments. Now take it to a higher power. If it dosent get resolved that way. You then have the power to sue on basis of size discrimination. But if your like me you will just put exlax in their drinks or something mean like that and let it go.
