The worst is hearing people say that I "took the easy way out" I bet if they spent even 24hrs in my shoes they would change their tune!

The remorse thoughts will go away.. I had the same thoughts in the first few weeks..it's such a life change and you just have to take it one day at a time!

You know what is really helpful? Put a preop photo if yourself next to a photo of you now.. So helpful.. I couldn't believe the changes already! My surgery was 10.29.12.

So, DOS was 10/17 and I'm down 17lbs. Decided to cut 11" off my hair, go a little darker, and start my new life with a new look!
My clothes fit a little bit looser and I didn't see much of a change until this...
Yay me!!!

Crc... Congrats to you... That is so awesome! How far out from your surgery date are you?

OMG.. I am soooo tired! Surgery was on 10/29. I know it has to do with not really eating!

Omg.. I cannot tell you how many times my husband told me this!!! He is thinner and was telling me that I need to eat better and exercise. I told him it would be much easier for me once I have lost some initial weight. I have to admit that he is on board more or less now that he has seen my level if commitment these past two weeks on the preop liquid diet. I have lost 12 lbs so far.. Surgery is tomorrow. If you have a good relationship he will eventually get on board just keep explaining that this is NOT easy.. It's life changing. You are doing this for you.. And you need his support! I am sure he is worried that something will happen. Assure him that you want to be healthy and happy. Keep us posted!

I have realized through this whole process that people really can be quite negative.. It sucks and it hurts too . But this is for me.. And about me! Doc told me I am on the verge of being diabetic.. So don't want to go down that road! And I want to be the best me that I can be so I am doing this naysayers be damned! I will take the love and emotional comfort of those who truly do care about me.. The rest I leave to God and thank God for all if you on here.. I am nervous today is the day before I go in.. Have to be at hospital at 745 am tomorrow!

Kathy I think you are onto something there! She has made many comments over the past weeks to me.. And she is overweight. I don't think my job will be affected. But I chose not to tell my manager for a reason. I just wish I had never shared!

And I totally love the mini taco! That made me smile!
