Butterfly to symbolize your transformtion? Im getting one when i lose 100lbs.... Right on my back

I didnd't think about that but I like the idea of getting one to mark the transition to a new life. My hubby wants me to get what I call a "bra topper" on my chest. I was thinking about a butterfly with flowers to show transformation and beauty.

Maybe you could do a wrap around vine of flowers with butterflies over the scars and stretch marks.

I was def thinking butterfly just haven't found any big enough or to catch my eye I wish I knew a good artist to draw me up a big one

I want a butterfly too lol I want it on my back with the surgery date under. I also want a lil tattoo on the side of my index finger of just the #'s "389" my highest weight facing me not on the side towards my middle finger. I will always see it... Constant reminder!

I love the number idea i might have to steal that very smart might make you think twice before you eat something way down the road

Yeah that was my idea if I'm eating something I'm not supposed to what a reminder as I lift it to my face and to see on my finger such an ugly #! LOL

I'm removing mine or idk what I want to do. I regret it but I love it and hate it. No more tattoo for me :(

I have no tattoos... But I wonder if it would hurt more without so much fat under the skin? I know that my loose skin, ESP on the arms, is much less pain tolerant than it used to be.

I already have 2 but I want another one. My niece wants me to go with her when she turns 18 to get her first, so I am getting one too. I thought of just the words " Be Strong" on my foot or wrist.

Tattoos are all about your own pain tolerance and your ability to put your mind in a different place while getting one! I have a bunch and love the process.. From drawing it up to the application. They don't hurt that bad :)

I like the ribbons:) I've also seen back pieces that look like awesome corsets....they cover just about everything! There is a picture somewhere of a lady who got a total lower so had scars all around...she did the vine and flowers and it looks great! I like Jenny's idea of the finger number.I was thinking about putting the amount I lose in the tail of peacock - it's a vanity thing :)

Once I hit my goal I am getting a phonix tattoo.

Essentially what I plan on getting

Ouch!

I have 2 tatoos on my ankles. I got one with my daughter, a butterfly, to mark her transition into adulthood and my transition into empty nester. My hubby has 8 and he said that the ones where the skin is closest to bone hurt the worst...like around collar bone.

I LOVE the idea of the vines with flowers to cover the scars from reconstruction surgery. I have been wanting to do roses for my grandmother so a rose vine would be very pretty. I am still preop but I have a lot of stretch marks on my chest and tummy. I have read that if you have a lot of stretch marks and are older (Im 46) you will most likely have hanging skin. So, I am hoping my home biz takes off enough to afford the cosmetic surgery after.
