  9. Hello fellow October post ops can't believe it's officially been a month, surgery date 10.29.12. My pre op weight was 258.8, today I weighed in at 228.6. Got a bit more active this week with walking, am hoping to start Zumba or something fun soon I have just started with having difficulty w eating.. Getting nauseous, throwing up...I am having a hard time with getting all protein in but I try so hard! Have that lower left abdominal pain, almost feels like the pain right after surgery I will be seeing my surgeon on 12/4 so I will discuss all of this w him.. Hope everyone is doing well on their own journeys!!
  10. Hi Stepanie.. I think this has to do with the further out we get in the process. I had my surgery on 10.29.12 and have been feeling about as crappy as you describe for the past week. I am not sure if as we were healing it was easier to take things in than it is now that we are healed more. I have my appt w my surgeon on Tuesday. I will definitely share with you what I find out. I wish you well.. Keep trying to get your vitamins, protein & water in.
  11. You know what is really helpful? Put a preop photo if yourself next to a photo of you now.. So helpful.. I couldn't believe the changes already! My surgery was 10.29.12.
  12. Oh no! When is/ was your surgery? I totally know how you feel about photos..
  13. Oh no Vicki.. I am so sorry to hear that you have been dealt another setback my prayers and thoughts are with you.. Please keep updating! (((Hugs)))))
  14. It definitely does make it hard to breathe! It's the worst.. I feel like I had less trouble a week ago than I do now. I understand that things are healing but good lord how can I go what I am supposed to do when I feel so crappy? OMG.. We have the same surgery date!!! Keep me posted on what you find out from your surgeon. My appointment is on Tuesday
  15. Hi everyone! I am 4 weeks post op and it seems as though I am beginning to have some issues I am completely exhausted all the time.. And still don't feel like myself. I am still having difficulty w getting in my protein and water. As of last night I am now getting extremely nauseated after I eat. The food feels stuck and then I vomit. My next appt w my surgeon is next week but ugh! I also have pain in my lower abdomen
  16. I am the same way.. It's so hard to not drink while you eat.. I am almost a month out from surgery. What I have noticed is if I drink I really can't eat much at all.. So frustrating

  18. How much Splenda did you use?
  19. I used to love crystal light as well but have found since surgery it is just too sweet for me. My NUT said tastes would change after surgery.. Bummer though. I have about 6 boxes of the packets!
  20. Congrats and best wishes to you!
  21. Thank you so much for your advice.. That is a great idea. I am excited to go out but the whole dinner thing was dealing me out a little! Will keep you posted on the night out.. It's Thursday
  22. Crc... Congrats to you... That is so awesome! How far out from your surgery date are you?
  23. Thanks for the suggestions! I have been taking all suggestions into consideration! Haven't added fruit to my shake yet as I am too scared to have dumping.. Had that once and oh my I totally don't want to back there! I have my first outting this week with friends.. I am on soft foods..kinda nervous as to how to handle this, any suggestions?
  24. I had my surgery on 10/29/12... I must say that I do have a high tolerance for pain.. However nothing prepared me for the pain and total lethargy that I felt after this surgery. I needed pain meds for the first week. i have not yet resumed 100% of my normal activities.. I am trying though and doing better everyday.. I notice that I get tired easier and need to rest. I can't wait until I start to feel normal again and more like myself!
