  1. Appx 3 gms for 240 cal if you eat a whole one...can vary depending on size.
  2. Tank...don't forget gluten free-
  3. Might want to check with your dietician...for me fried foods still don't go easy. And pizza? Not a soft food on my list. Chicken salad was, Tuna salad, liver- that kinda thing. Carbs are also really not something we should be eating, unless there is a carb protein combination like. Beans and rice. Protein and veggies for the most part, your secret to success.
  4. My adopted 16 year old son is in a psyche ward and has been since before my surgery. I have lost about 90lbs, since I saw him. We went to see him over labor day weekend. Previously, he told someone he hated fat people. Well...he said not a word about my weight loss, and actually told me I was getting fat when he pinched the underside of my arms. People can be cruel. Some don't want us to get healthy. Some don't want us to be happy. We just have to walk away and try not to let those nasty comments hurt us. We are on the right path even if they don't see it. (hugs)
  5. You will get through this, the first 3 days are you hardest as your body purges the carbs and the caffeine. Just don't sit with others when they eat or it could get ugly.
  6. I am thinking the diarrea is probably due to the liquid diet, but look for sugars in the things you are eating...and call your doc.
  7. You ate pizza and chicken two weeks out? Talk to your nutritionist...I was on puréed foods at that stage, and many here were just on liquids.
  8. I love love love these!!! Didn't think there's carbonation in a slurpee....only wish I didn't have to drive 6 hours to get one.
  9. (raises hand) I am guilty...lol!!
  10. Wait....I did change for the worse...mentally. I don't take crap anymore. I don't make fat jokes about myself anymore...(lost my sense of humor, I bet some will say) I will not be that safety friend that men ignore...sooooo... We lose some friends cause (you know, they say we have such a nice personality?) I personnaly would rather those jealous types to say, dang, brains AND a BODY!!!
  11. They should let you do the senior menu.
  12. Nurses can't diagnose a stricture. I went to the hospital with mine, and forced em to scope me. I was write. Make them look....if you can't keep food or liquids down its a stricture most likely.
  13. Just follow the plan... You will lose weight. Be sure you are drinking water and getting your protein.
  14. We are gluten free... Think meat and potatoes or meat and rice. There are decent gluten free pastas out there, and ok breads. It's pricy, but it does help with increasing your ability to absorb nutrients.
  15. Usually citrus is a no no until you are off of antacids...
  16. Thanks...we can all do it if we keep out mind on the goal... One step at a time...
  17. Check into section 8 housing. Reduced cost based on income.
  18. I get to eat at my favorite buffet place for the 2 year old price for crab legs and shrimp...$2.90!! I love it! Regularly $24 a head.
  19. Some people like the ninja....
  20. Scallops rock!! They are one of my go to foods. High in protein, easy to swallow, and at $1 a piece, no more than a lean cuisine for what we can eat now...lol!
  21. Mami, I have two special needs kids...I know how tough it can be. If I can be any help, please let me know.
  22. 8 more pounds till I get there...
  23. You might want to check with your dietician...these are usually ok on the full liquids portion. (I.e. after the hospital)
  24. Make sure you are drinking your protein shakes...fatigue is often a result of no protein. Sounds like your body is trying to go into hibernation.
