1. Its been 4 weeks post op. I'm doing well. Still struggling with food. Learning what my body tolerates. I've lost 20 lbs. Went to my post op appt n my Dr says that all is going perfect. AS Far as weight loss is concerned it is also going as its supposed to. I've transitioned from all liquid diet to soft foods. Next week i start the next stage of foods. Transitioning between stages of food is the hardest for me. It takes some getting used too. I've been exercising, (walking) very low impact, n taking all my vitamins. Skl is good. I how everyone else is well.

5. I was scheduled to leave yesterday morning, however i had a bad reaction to one of the pain meds, n my blood pressure went up. They quickly took care of it n my pressure went back to normal. By late evening i was stable enough so they sent me home. This morning I'm in very little pain. Walking around, doing light house work, feeling great. Have to keep reminding myself to drink fluids (cuz i don't get the hunger pain or thirsty). I have to set alarm on phone for every few hours as a reminder. Today i feel good. Hartford Hospital staff were great. Doctor was awesome. Couldn't of asked for a better team of health care professionals.

10. Thanks to everyone who have been my sppt thru this, including the members here. Day 1 after surgery feeling very alert, n laughing with staff. The worst pain was yesterday up until they gave me pain meds. My blood pressure, however, went thru the roof. Kept medicating for that now my vitals are back to normal. I went into this well informed n mentally prepared. I owe the majority of it to the members here. Thank you
11. This is my hospital picture. Today is the start of my new life!
12. I woke up this morning pinching myself to make sure i wasn't dreaming. It was successful. There was a slight problem with my blood pressure. They kept medicating me till it went back to normal. Scheduled to b discharged Thursday. <3
13. I'm on my way to hospital now for surgery. Scheduled for 11:00 am, but want me there at 9:30. Very anxious but ready. I'll keep u posted
14. When i started my journey i weighed 200 lbs. I'm 4' 11" tall. This week I've been on my preop diet n tomorrow is my surgery. I now weigh 190 lbs. I'm hoping all goes well. I have mitro valve regurgitation of my heart, however my cardiologist ran every test known to man n cleared me. So I'm all set to go. I know all will b ok. I have one minor son n there r risks involved with this surge, so i took the initiative n left instructions with my sister. I don't think it will b needed buy i rather b safe than sorry can't b to over prepared. I'll check in after surgery as soon as I'm able to.

17. I am required to do a one week preop diet which I'm provided with a list of haves n have nots n the day before surgery only liquids. Every one is different. Its up to the surgeon as to what the patients diet should be
18. Finishing up day 2 of pre op diet. Its been ok. Not to bad. The worst of it is that my house hold are all adults. So they come home from work or high school hungry n cook, i mean they can really cook. It puts my nose into overdrive. But i keep pushing forward. My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday the 18th. A lot of confused emotions.
