  3. K, I was told by the dr to wait for 2 weeks to remove my dressings. Today is 2 weeks and I'm scared to death to take them off. I did one but left the tape on it. I feel safe with them on. I know they have to air out. Any suggestions??? Will they open while I'm asleep???

  11. I started my period 2 days before surgery. When I was getting into my gown I asked the nurse if I should take my tampon out and she said yes but to leave my panties on. When I woke I didn't have panties on but I had one of those bed pads on the bed. I had the catheter in too. When I got up to walk there was a mess on that pad and I apologized to the nurse and she was so nice and said "that's alright honey we will have it cleaned up in no time." she also helped me put my panties on too even with the cath. No worries honey! The staff knows how to take care of you!
  12. This is me right when I started my journey November 2011 328 pounds
  13. I used Walgreens generic women's laxative. It worked that night and the next morning!
  14. My surgery was July 11 and 3 days before I had a panic attack. I was getting out of the shower and it hit me. What helped me was knowing how worth it that this surgery is!! Hang in there! You can do it!!
  15. One of my friends said that lemon juice helps when meat is stuck...maybe that will help?!
  16. Not only the poop and poots stink awful that they ever smelled before but my burps stink bad too. I've had terrible gas pains these last couple of days (8 days post op) so I've been chewing up Walgreens gas x and women's laxative as well. Finally worked tonight - semi solid but mine is normal color but good Lawd the smell is KILLER!! Lol
  17. Am I the only person that had surgery on July 11 that can't walk that much due to back pain (prob gas)? I've been walking inside of my house not much but a little. I sit with my back on heating pad and it eases it a little. I'm just afraid that I won't lose hardly any weight by my follow up on Aug 10. My scales shows about 9 pounds down since the surgery but I feel it should be more......anyone else feeling this way?
  18. That sucks! So sorry sweetie!
  19. Yesterday after the suppositories I had 2 very very small weird looking bm. I haven't had any more but the gas has started with me today. Oh and what is c diff?
  20. Surgery went good. Dr couldnt take the gall bladder but he did repair a hiatal hernia that I had no idea I had! I didn't have gas pains in the hospital, they had to give me 2 suppositories but still not much gas. My struggle is switching sides when I sleep. I am able to sleep in my own bed with 2 body pillows. Last night it took me so long to turn over my husband woke up to my low moans and grunts, lol. Today the gas has started and I'm pooting a lot. I walked a lot In The hospital which I think helped so much with gas pains. Now my problems are itching around my bandages!
