  1. With insurance all follow up for 90 days after surgery are covered globally under the cost of your surgery as long as u see the surgeon not the PA or any other service providers in the office.
  2. I think you are dumping sugars. Even after 16 years post op I gave up trying sugars. Cold sweats, shaking and feeling like a panic attack. maybe try to cut back on sugars and see if it helps. They do make sugarfree jelly if you want to try it. I did peanut butter and pickle
  3. After my drain was removed I felt so much better. Today is 3wks post op and still sore but back to work and walking a mile a day . Good luck
  4. How much does it cost to have the skin removed? I am assuming it is your apron . I am 3 weeks out from my 2nd RNY 16 yrs ago 425lbs now down to 225lbs. I had a fistula so the new surgery is harder than I remembered. I am hoping to get down to 180lbs for Christmas
  5. I just had my 2nd RNY, the first surgery developed an opening and was making me sick for 3 years. Insurance took 8 months to approve corrected surgery. I had gained 40 lbs back after 16 years. I was 425lbs and down my lowest 235lbs . New surgery start weight 275 3wks post op down to 225lbs.
  6. Good for u. Keep us posted u are in my prayers
  7. My starting weight before preop diet was 275lbs. But this is my 2nd surgery. 16 years ago my start weight was 425lbs. I had been sick and found out that my problems were caused by a fistula (an opening in my staples) I had to have my stomach removed and had to have new stomach about 4oz. I seem to be loosing more but recovery is so slow for me. Having swelling and only one bowel movement.
  8. You will do great. Take this time to move around and get organized. Plan your meals by the weak. Get cute comfortable pjs and lounge clothes.
  9. Good luck to all. I am 3 weeks post op and have lost 50lbs. My stomach is still sore but walked in the park this weekend for 30 mins and started Curve fitness. Still doing soft stuff but for me protein is the key to felling better. Keep us updated on post op
  10. Not snacking but the Garber cheese puffs are great for hummas for dinner or lunch.
  11. I have not had a bowel movement in almost 2 weeks . Does anyone have any suggestions?
  12. I was craving eggs. week 3 I had a scrambled egg and it came back up and have been feeling horrible all the next day
  13. Thanks everyone for your support. Today is day 13 after surgery and I had to go to a dinner meeting tonight. People were mostly glad that I am back. But one person who knew I had to have the surgery for the 2nd time because my 16 year surgery opened was the so horrible she actually said it was self inflected because I had the previous surgery. I just wanted to cry. I responded that she could say that about most people with many of problems like herself who have untreated medical illness.
  14. Looking for people in my area. Going to check out support group next week.
  15. I have been bad. I was suppose to stop smoking and I keep smoking . My doctor would have a cow if he knew. I do smoke less but have not been able to put them down. Good luck
  16. I love my job but I sooo do not want to talk about my surgery on the job. Most of the women I work with wear a size 0 a couple of them are size 3. Any ideas to not have to talk about my weight, surgery or diet?
  17. Wonderful. I use to hate having a boat because the conversation would always come up about me wearing wet/dry shorts.
  18. I have not tried the yet but my 7 month old niece eats them with her 2 teeth. I can not stand chopped up foods. I do soups and hummus and protein drinks
  19. I was 425lbs at 29 years old I had my 1st surgery and dropped down to 220lbs in 2 years. As far as looking at my body and not liking what I see, I never liked being naked. But now I had my 2nd surgery due to a fistula and started @ 275lbs today is day 10 of my post op and I am 230lbs. For me the 2nd surgery had nothing to do with my weight just not being sick. At 45 yrs old I can say nobody has ever said a naked chick loves their body.
  20. Gripe water is all natural and used for babies with colic sold over the counter at drug stores and whole foods
  21. Some posted on utube they eat Gerber graduates cheese puffs. I have not tried them but I am still getting my protein levels up.
