Wow. I just started eggs and I get about 45grams of protein. It is hard the doctor wants me at 60grams. I just do not feel like I am hungry.

Vamp it is not just about the lbs it is about better health. Building muscle is good, working out is great. After surgery this time I am so weak I would trade muscle for loss weight at this point.

@ kmiller, stop being so hard on yourself. I am 45 and was told it will be slower weightless with the revision. Our body's metabolism is slower because of our 1st surgery. Try to trick your body change whatever u eat and drink daily. It seems to be working ok for me. I walk for an hour 3 times a week nothing great just whatever I can do, I sit if I need to but it gives me time with myself no music just me and my head.

So sorry you are having such a bad time. You have a tough life but it is your life. 1st the wasting food issue, freeze leftovers in ice cube trays. When they freeze put in ziplock bag mark whatever u put in bag. 2nd you do not need a gym, put shoes on and walk out the door. Give yourself 1 hour a day for you. Walk, take a breath, on days you can not walk take 2 cans of anything you have in the panty and work your arms. Take time for you and take a long bath. As for your husband not being supportive, make your own support. Use this group and remember it is about your happiness .

I am sending prayers. The surgery is expensive but as long as the insuance does their part, you are only required to pay the allowable part. I just had my surgery and I do insuance for a children's hospital so I had to go to an adult hospital and pay 20% the hospital billed 68,000 so far after they pay their part I am only responsible for 1200. Still waiting for final processing.

I also had a low temp and was told to take liquid pain meds. 3wks later sore but better. Having muscle pain but stomach only sore.

If you find out let me know . The doctor have me muscle relaxers for bedtime I was spasming in my back and legs horrible. I also added sugarfree Gatorade to my protein drink it seems to help during the day.

I was also working for a hospital and had BC. They have a disclaimer. So they like to stand by it. Just had my 2nd surgery the hospital submitted 68,000 in charges. I am holding my breath but this time BC not my insurance

I wish you guys lived in Louisiana could use the support postoperative . I went to one support group meeting and plan to keep trying. It was kinda crazy more than 1/2 the group were only a year out of surgery and looked great. But they were very interested in going out after group and shaking their money makers. I guess I am not at that stage yet

My shoe size has decrease by a 1/2 of size.

Ok. I do not want to upset anyone but BC is horrible my 1st RNY they precertified my surgery. I had the surgery done and after 4 years of fighting them they said " precertification does not guarantee payment". I filed bankruptcy .

I started getting depressed because I am up and down the same 4lbs. for a week now. I am still walking but 3 weeks post op and I am still sore. I am considering going back to clear liquids and protein drinks. Any suggestions?

Glad all went well. 3weeks post op and best and worst day was getting drain removed. Hurt so good.

I went to my first post op surgery support group last night. Everyone had so much worries about letting out the secrete of surgery. But basically I think as a group we all agreed that it is a very personal choice. This is x2 for me so I just feel so depressed watching people lie and fell guilty about it now. I am sure I change the subject a lot but I am also gay and have a rule if u ask me I tell the truth. I have been out the closest for too long to start not being honest.
