  1. Not really. It is hard to keep on track . I make myself go to the gym because it makes me clear my head and if I could eat bad stuff and not have to be in pain for days I would. But I always ask myself is it worth 3 days of being sick. And when I slip and say yes it is worth being sick, I am sicker than the time before. I just keep omitting stuff that makes me sick. Fried food, meat, sugar , dairy. And I still don't like my body without clothes. But I do not want any more surgeries. I got married last year and quit my job. Then had surgery on my rt foot, then fell and broke my rt wrist, then fell and broke my left ankle. I am still unable to walk but I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. The struggle never stops
  2. Sugar free pop sickles help or free protein shakes and eat like ice cream. You are doing great. I had to have surgery twice 25 years ago the surgery was done badly and I developed a leak I started at 410lbs from age 18 to 29. After surgery the 1st time I stayed at 225lbs until I got sick and had surgery again I started at 275lbs and now I stay at about 180lb unless I get sick then I loss 40lbs but fight to gain it back so I can have straight
  3. Increase protein. I can't do lactose or sugar post op they both cause stomach pains and dumping. So I did no whey protein 60 per day and I started loosing weight. After 5 years I still have to remind myself to make sure I get protein. I don't eat meat because it sticks or causes obstructions so I do fish and shakes and veggies
  4. Food sticking still happens 5 years after RNY. I had to omit meat. Fish and seafood with small bites works. Also, my Doctor gave me a tip that works for me. Lay on your right side it helps the food move better but when in doubt I hate to say it but vomit. If it last longer than on hour vomit and give up whatever you ate. Then try again another time if it happens again I just stopped eating it.
  5. Make sure you get at least 60 proteins in each day. For whatever reason when I increase protein I lost weight. Try the no whey no dairy protein shakes. You can even freeze them so you fell like you are eating . I hated my NUT she just made me feel bad. I had a support group and they helped. Also I love French onion soup (homemade) so I could control fat and no dairy.
  6. I am 5 years out of surgery and yes lactose intolerant & get the dumping syndrome with sugar. The pain I had after surgery on my side was horrible. I went to the support group and everyone said get "gripe water" I know whole foods has it. It is used for babies with gas pains but it worked.
  7. Try freezing protein shake & eat with a spoon. It takes longer to eat and for me felt like I was eating . Also I was told do not use a straw to drink. I also used sugar free pop sickles to help with head hunger and to hydrate.

  18. I do b12 shots weekly. I am also very tired and weak. My protein is fine and I am hydrated. I wish I could help I am also 7 weeks out. I think sometimes I might be depressed but do not know why I would be.
  19. I went back to work after 2 weeks, I am work junkie . Pain meds where liquid hydrocodone. The pain was pretty bad for the first 3 days but mostly weakness kept me resting. Walking was the best thing for pain, gas and weakness

  22. DL no pic required but that does mean all of us get crazy little pics of you in our head like: You are a super hero just wearing a thong and cape. Or a sexy CIA agent sent here to protect us from stupid people hurting our feelings or just a guy who likes dressing up as the tooth fairy. Haha
  23. John, I asked DL the same question in a private message. He gave me his reason but I still think of him as a secrete agent CIA. But I was way off. Haha
  24. I was able to eat Boca burger 1/2 of one and baked beans. I skipped the grapes, just did not want to deal with the skin. Watermelon did just fine. Thanks for y'all help.
