Hi- I see that everyone has different foods they are allowed to start with- but how many grams of protein are you supposed to get each day? My dr says 60 grams (3 weeks post op). What about you? What of you get 70-80 in? Is that ok??

My doctor told me 64 grams. I'm sure more won't hurt. What are you doing to get 70-80 grams. I have trouble trying o get 64.

My doctor told me 75-90. I don't hardly get much more, but my doctor says its fine.

Stuff like Ground turkey.. Fat free refried beans- turkey breast with fat free gravy- pure protie pre-made choc shakes (23 grams). Syntrax strawberry mousse shake with skim milk (30 grams). Hormel turkey chili.. I can have fruit/veggies for a few more weeks- so it's all protein..

Wow. I just started eggs and I get about 45grams of protein. It is hard the doctor wants me at 60grams. I just do not feel like I am hungry.

I drink one protein drink for breakfast which is 75 grams of protein. Then thru out the day I try to only eat protein. I try to stay away from empty calories. I will have an egg, an oz. Of cheese, meat or nutts. I usually get in well over 80 grams but I am 16 weeks out already. Goodluck to you guys!

What protein are you using that has 75 grams of protein???!!!!:)...and how many calories does it contain?

Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

Oh and its actually 5o grams a serving which is two scoops, but i use 3 scoops! Mfp adjusts the.calories for me :)

I thought Isopure was just a ready made drink.

I have to have 84 - 104 grams of protein. It's SO tough to get it all in. It also is hard to get in all the water.

How do you get 75g in one shake? I'd love to be able to do that!

Onyx :)

No, they have isopure powder at the gnc store. Tons of flavors! 50 grams of protein per serving, which is 2 scoops. But i mix 3 scoops (75grams) with icy cold water. It's really good. I finally found one I can tolerate ツ

Thanks for the info! I'll try it
