One Week Away !

One week away from surgery, about to smoke the last cigarette :( and :). That will be tough but I am determined. Had to do a will today, and that makes it so real. Getting a little nervous, but still soooo ready. Week dragging cause I have not been working. Ready for the count down, hoping all surgeries this week go great !!!!

I have been bad. I was suppose to stop smoking and I keep smoking . My doctor would have a cow if he knew. I do smoke less but have not been able to put them down. Good luck

I am here at home questioning whether I should walk to the store for cigarettes. :( uggh sure u can understand, I need to not smoke and I know it , after 3 days I should b past it. Struggling today :(

It's so hard try and do something else like work on a drawing or just take a breathe and try to regulate your breathing. Did u try the patch?

My doctor did a blood nicotine test on me both 30 days before surgery and 1 week before... Fortunately I have not had a cigarette in 3 1/2 years... It's so very hard to quit, best of luck to you all and stay strong!!!

Been strong all day, quit cold turkey, ate too much, trying to drink lots of water

Good job- what your doing is so hard but so worth it! Be proud of yourself

Struggling, bought a pack, no drinking enough water , just finished a mile walk , trying to keep the energy going .

No worries I am still smoking too! I am just so aggravated! My husband has been trying to support me and "following" this pre op diet with me and I thought I was doing good loosing 7/8 llbs in 8 days and then he steps on the scale and lost that in 2 days! NOT FAIR! Totally embarrased because I weight more than him! Like 18 lbs more! I can't wait for this surgery!

I'll tell you right now you better quick. What if your lungs collapse and you're on a ventilator after surgery? I know it's very hard but you gotta do what you gotta do!

I threw out what I had left... I'm just gonna suck it up

I was a heavy smoker before my surgery. My surgeon told me to quit. He said he knows it's not easy but if I can't quit there should be no smoking the day before surgery. My surgery was April 23, 2012. The great thing is I have been smoke free since April 22, 2012.

I was a pack + a day smoker and my surgeon wanted a month smoke free. He told me this 10 months prior to my surgery and it was 3 days from my sons birthday (who also was begging me to quit - I blame those horrible comercials- anyways the last time I quit some one said "you're pregnant")

so the next day I ordered the "Blu" electronic cigarette, it arrived on my sons birthday August 10... I had my son toss my cigarettes into the trash and I haven't had one since! The electronic cigs are GREAT! I used them for about 6 months and just quit all together..... I recommend them to EVERYONE! My mom, best friend, and two cousins took my advice and quit also!! however my husband just loves to smoke to much so they didn't work at all for him.... You have to really WANT to quit! and trust me ... I feel SO MUCH BETTER after I quit!!

My advice -ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES
