  1. Welcome Aimee....sounds like you are off to a good start !!
  2. WOW...amazing.....thanks for sharing!!
  3. Wow....you've been through a lot !! Hope your days are better now.
  4. I tried the Depo shot years ago....it screwed with my emotions...I couldn't stand to be around myself!! I've had the Mirena for the last ten years (2 implants 5 years apart). It's been great not having a period, but for me it was very painful having it put in...which is why I'm not having a third one. I told my husband he could get snipped or we could have a baby....he's 56 and I'm 47....he decided to get the first option. I don't think it's painful for everyone....it was just difficult getting mine in which took more time and caused more pain.
  5. I couldn't wait to have them. My doctor gave me the ok at week three (purée stage). I've tried them twice and got sick on them both times. At my support meeting several people said the same thing. Hopefully I can handle them in the future. Hope you don't have the same problem.
  6. Me too!! I lost 9 pounds the first week. I am now three weeks and nothing!! Except the one pound I was up yesterday....ug....I seen my nutritionist last night at a support meeting and she said to stop stressing about it. Even though the scale isn't moving, I am noticing a big change in my cloths. I went shopping and the smaller sizes I fit into did lift my spirits!!
  7. I woke up several nights with similar pains.....my doctor thought it was muscle spasms....they stopped before I even took the meds he gave me for it....hope all goes well for you.
  8. Just across the line in NW Indiana
  9. Glad everything went so well. Just take it slow at home....
  10. You're doing great! What did your doctor say about exercise? I'm just a couple weeks out....I'll be asking my doctor about it on Friday.
  11. I've been very frustrated too. First week after surgery, down 10 pounds. Next 10 days, nothing.....except the day I was UP one pound!! I know our bodies go through changes and we should expect times like this, but it still SUCKS!
  12. Big day for the 3 of you! Hoping all goes well.
  13. Yay for you!! It will be here before you know it!!
  14. Hope you're feeling better soon
  15. Hope you're ok....keep us updated.
  16. I had to use the New Direction meal replacements......didn't care for them at all.....if you get the pudding, make it the night before and refrigerate,...the cheese broccoli soup was the worse...I was limited to the pudding, shake and soups.....if you can do the bars, then that should be better...good luck!! Hope it goes quickly for you..
  17. Hope all goes well!
  18. Welcome.....did you talk to your doctor about your concerns?
  19. I thought I would be out 2 weeks, but will be at least 3. I dont have a hard job, but I just do not have my energy back yet. I'm lucky to have banked days so I won't be without pay.
