  1. That is SOO exciting! I'm so very happy for you...I can't wait to see your post that says you're wearing size 6's!! woohoo.... Congrats!
  2. For those of you who drink the Premier Protein RTD shakes from costco....is this the same product? We don't have a Costco anywhere around here so I've been looking for it online. [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Premier-Protein-Shakes-18-11oz-shakes/dp/B001O213RM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1280257788&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: Premier Protein - High Protein Ready To Drink Shakes, 18-11oz shakes: Health &[/ame]
  3. Congrats! It will get better soon....:001_smile:
  4. Tomorrow is a new day. Put this day behind you and start over. You know those things won't help you. Don't sabotage yourself...you've given yourself a big gift...use it!
  5. That seems to be a common occurence for people after WLS. My best friend who has NOT had WLS but who has lost a good deal of weight over the last six months had a gallbladder attack last week and was in so much pain her hubby took her to the ER and yep...they took that sucker out. The surgery took a whole 12 minutes. That's it! Anyway...best of luck to you...I hope you're in and out of there and can get back home soon. Please let us know how you're doing as soon as you can. Will be thinking of you!
  6. lillita...if they weren't chewable I'd buy them from you but I cannot stand chewables so I quit taking them. I did switch to the One A Day gummies...they taste like candy! lol Everything else I swallow.
  7. Yes constipation has been a big problem for me. In the beginning I sipped on Milk of Magnesia a few times a day per my surgeon's instructions. It got to the point where that stuff made me want to HURL. It's nasty and I couldn't stand it anymore. At about 2 months out it had gotten really bad and I had been taking Colace pills everyday for about a week and nothing had happened so I said forget this and took 3 Dulcolax. That worked. Now that I'm eating more veggies and salads, it's not been as bad plus I'm adding Miralax to my smoothies. I won't hesitate to take a laxative though if it gets bad. If you're very early out, I'd use the Milk of Magnesia...it works well and works gently too.
  8. Welcome and good luck! This site has been invaluable to me! It's a wonderful resource and I've made some friends too...that's always a plus!
  9. I think you've done fabulously and you look great too! But the important part is that you're doing healthy things like all that exercise...I WISH I could find some motivation and excitement for exercise. Hasn't happened yet! Pay close attention to those inches because you're probably gaining a lot of muscle with all that exercise and muscle weighs more than fat! I think you WILL make it to your goal...and getting refocused on your protein is a step in the right direction! Congrats on your success so far and I wish you continued success for the future!
  10. Jerry my friend....that's AMAZING! I'm doing the happy dance for you! I'm hoping I'll get there in the next 6 weeks....maybe 8 max. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it!
  11. How exciting!! I can't wait for that day to get here! Congrats you're doing great!
  12. Hi HD, Yes, I try to stay around 30 g of carbs per day. Occasionally I might go a few over..but usually I'm under.
  13. Well...I had pretty much come to the conclusion after the past two months that I just don't lose anything in the 2nd half of the month. From the time I ovulate until a few days into my period, I'm pretty much at a stall. So I was expecting the same thing this month. I'm right around ovulation time and for the past 4-5 days the scale didn't budge. I also got very constipated again. Night before last I took two dulcolax and nothing happened. Last night I took 2 more and finally it worked a little bit this morning. But before it worked, I weighed myself and dropped EIGHT POUNDS! That's the biggest drop I've seen yet. I thought...this can't be right. I got on the scale 3 more times and I even picked it up and moved it to a different location and tried again. Yep, still a drop of 8 lbs. I did take a diurex (fluid pill) last night. Maybe it's Water retention? I did buy some Miralax and my plan is to add is to my daily smoothies but I'm a damned blonde and I keep forgetting! I think if I could remember that maybe the whole constipation thing wouldn't get so bad. Anyway, I just wanted to share my weird experiences..lol :001_tongue:
  14. do you know if you can order these online? We don't have a Costco around here.
  15. Good for you! You're doing great. None of us are perfect...so no worries there!
  16. 113 lbs in 7 months?? That's fantabulous!
  17. Holy Crap that's wonderful news! Good for you!
  18. I either have a scrambled egg, a Protein shake, or sometimes I have an Atkins AdvantEdge bar. I'm not really crazy about eating breakfast bars like that but I'm not a big breakfast eater so I'm trying to make a conscious decision to eat SOMETHING before around 10:00 am. I found myself falling into my old routine of only drinking coffee in the morning and not having anything until 1-2 in the afternoon and I know that's not good for me. So I'm trying...
  19. That's wonderful! Did you lose that much since your surgery or was some of that from a pre-op diet?
  20. I think you will really begin to notice your restriction when you begin to eat more dense foods like chicken or beef or fish. That's how it was for me.
  21. ok this might sound stupid but do you think these secretions/mucus could be allergy releated? Since developing seasonal allergies about 5 yrs ago I almost constantly have a little post nasal drip in the back of my throat..sometimes worse than others. When it's bad I often get sinus headaches.
  22. Look at those skinny legs! You look great in leggings!
