  1. I am going to try that, too. I will track my morning coffee in MFP just so that I don't lose my daily login count. SEE! I am too obsessed with logging.
  2. I am starting to think that tracking is not the way to go for me. Tracking just makes me think about food all day. These last few days since I have been preoccupied with my husband's health and not tracking so well, I have been fine with my eating plan. I don't know, it is hard to not track because of the guilt factor.
  3. I had an ulcer and pain before surgery, but have never had any ulcer pain after. I take 20mg. of omeprazole daily.
  4. Yeah, I think I would pass on the WLS if I had premature death. I wouldn't get to see the results!
  5. You forgot the vodka!
  6. 231 today...wah, gained .6
  7. I'm with you on the Journey thing...makes me want to hurl.
  8. Are you drinking from a glass or a bottle? I always drink from a bottle and don't get any air coming in that I notice. I can pretty much slug it down.
  9. Of course I'm right! I'm an Aspiring Evangelist aren't I?
  10. I was comfortable drinking Water normally within 10 days. Water is not going to hurt your stomach.
  11. I think you would have to put some research into that. I am almost 4 months out and still have problems with raw veggies, salad, or whatever.
  12. It never occurred to me to consume a protein shake before I absolutely had to, so I can still handle the occasional protein drink.
  13. You will have it before leaving the hospital.
  14. I had no gas pain, no nausea, no vomiting or any other problems. I have always bounced back from surgeries in the past. My worst pain was the back ache I got from the crappy hospital bed. I know how you feel, though. I had to have a 7 hour spinal surgery a few months after my husband passed away. I was terrified of leaving my son an orphan. That was 10 years ago and I'm still here! This surgery was not nearly as scary.
  15. Why don't you eat more? Three tablespoons? I would portion out 1/4 cup, eat that and then see if you can eat another few bites. Jeez, I don't think I ever had as little as 3 tbsp. Have some tuna salad. That will fill you up.
  16. It took me two weeks to lose the weight from IV fluids. You will be fine!
  17. liquids pretty much go right through your sleeve and you will not feel the restriction. When you start on solid Proteins you will definitely feel it.
  18. Saying "don't ever believe what some people say here" kind of pisses me off. Are you calling those of us with no complications liars? I hope not. I had no issues at all. I never vomited, was able to walk around freely, and had very little pain. I am sorry you had issues, but not everyone does.
  19. Download an app called Eat Slower for your phone. You can set it to chime when you should take a bite.
  20. I wasn't allowed anything until after my leak test. Are you sure he doesn't just mean right after surgery until you have your leak test?
  21. Hope you feel better soon!
  22. Simmer the broth with dried rosemary and thyme and add a tsp. of Better than Bouillon. It tastes delicious that way.
  23. I've had a Tivo since 2003! I currently have 3 of them. I've also been a member of tivocommunity.com since 2003.
