Just Wondering..
I was sleeved on May 13, 2014. Just a few short days ago. My procedure went well. So well in fact I only spent one night in the hospital. However as I have read other posts here I have seen that things have been handled a good deal different in my case or so it seems. I was given only one meal of Clear liquids, Breakfast the next day and the lunch the same day put on full liquids. I have read posts here where people are a week out or even more and still on clear liquids. I know all Docs have different ways of doing things and all but does this seem a bit..well not right to any of you? I tried stuff on the full liquid list (yogurt, creamed thin Soup etc) and was miserable. Today I went back to veggie broth, Jello and popsicles and felt WAY better. I ordered some unflavoured powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury to add to my broth to get my Protein so that part is taken care of. Am I right in thinking all of that was just a tiny bit rushed? Seems to me that it was just a bit too hurried...

Home from the Hospital..One Day Out
Wow, Id like the license number of the truck I think ran over me. I never knew so much pain could be caused from a tiny bite of food... My tummy hates me right now It can only get better I say to myself. My surgeon told me I did so well I could come home the day after my surgery. Not sure if thats a good thing or bad lol.

How to Cope?
Here I am packing for a vacation I do not want to go on... Going to Florida, and I am sure everyone knows or remember how miserable it is being heavy in hot weather..We are going to DisneyWorld and I am worried about the humilation of having to get off an attraction because the safety device doesnt fit me. (It happened last year and I was mortified.) Also I will be required to show myself in a swimsuit..-sigh- It doesnt help that because of this vacation my surgery date had to be moved up. If not for this trip I could have had my surgery on April 22. Now it is on May 12. Please dont flame me saying I am being selfish and should be happy I am spending time with my family and that it isnt such a long wait, etc. I am already feeling terrible about all of that and that is why I need suggestions on how to cope with these feelings. Advice please!

Raw Diet an Option?
Has anyone considered a raw vegan diet after surgery? I am a vegetarian and have been for many years and have thought about this recently. It seems it would be easy to transition into this after surgery. Any opinions on this?

Nervous!
I'm tired of the yo-yo too! I am a teacher and I want to be able to truly enjoy my summers off with my girls without feeling self-conscious at the beaches Water parks and pools!! It seems so drastic yet I personally know quite a few people who have done some sort of wls. Just praying I get through this. Today was my first day on liquid diet, I'm surviving ok. Just wish it was over and I was already home from surgery! Good luck to you and definitely keep me posted! I know what you mean about the pools and water parks..we are going to Disney World with the girls in a couple of weeks..I dread having to go to the water park in my current condition. But I tell myself "this is the last vacation I will have to endure like this, never again." I wish it were already over too, May 12th can't come soon enough!

Nervous!
I'm scared too! I just got my date today: May 12. I thought there was going to be weeks or months of waiting but my insurance approved the procedure immediately. It really is going to happen sooner than I ever expected. I have two little girls and I sincerely hope I am making the right choice. But like others that have posted here I have fought with my weight my whole life. I'm tired of the yo-yo up and down of the scale. I'm tired of looking at myself and hating what I see and of how that makes me feel. Scared or not, I know this is something I have to do, for my family and most importantly for me.
