  1. I went to bcbstx.com, created an account, and found out that way. I was anxious and checked every day!
  2. I have had short hair since I was 19, but I recently let it grow just because I was too lazy to go get it cut. Then my hair started falling out. I have gray/white hair and decided to get it cut like Dame Judi Dench and I love it. So easy to care for.
  3. Pan roasted halibut with a rosemary crust along with roasted Brussels sprouts and broccoli.
  4. By pain pump I mean the kind that hooks up to your IV and you can press a button to self administer a dose. That is what I had.
  5. Oh, yeah. You can get pain meds through your IV or a shot in your hip. It should have nothing to do with going ahead with the surgery.
  6. From googling it looks like a pain pump.
  7. Don't worry about it. The nurses and the doc have seen everything and they will take care of your needs.
  8. There are plenty of youngsters around. I think there is a section for 20 somethings. Welcome!
  9. I'm anxious to hear how the appointment went!
  10. I was on Lexapro for years and had no side effects that I was aware of. My doc switched me to Cymbalta for anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. I haven't experienced any side effects with this either.
  11. Calling Dub to the white courtesy phone... That man knows his way around a grill!
  12. I had roasted asparagus with my steak last night. I added a tiny bit of freshly grated parmesan. My favorites are brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and onions.
  13. I just click on the notifications icon at the top of the screen next to logout.
  14. Mine is Sleevie Ray Vaughn
  15. Crackers and ginger ale sounds more like morning sickness relief to me. I lean toward some hot Soup for a cold.
  16. I think the 2nd or 3rd night I just arranged a pillow to prop myself up on my side. It worked out okay.
  17. My stats are not impressive. I spent at least 8 months battling a cross addiction with alcohol. I'm better now and back on the proper path.
  18. I hesitate to bring this up, but the owner of Jimmy John's is a notorious big game trophy hunter. I can't bring myself to buy food from him.
  19. Egg drop soup is good. Maybe something with shrimp.
  20. Mine was quick. All I had to complete was one NUT visit and the psych eval. I had already had an EKG and EGD earlier in the year for other reasons. I guess it was around 6 weeks.
  21. Calming breaths...this, too, shall pass.
  22. I was also born in Hollywood. :) I will be two years out next month and still don't really get hungry. If I feel hungry I eat, but if I'm out running around or something it quickly passes and I just forget that I was hungry. I think my surgeon removed part of my attention span along with my stomach.
  23. Omeprazole works for me. If I have breakthrough issues a few tums does the trick.
