  3. Bariatric Advantage has capsule forms of their chewable Multivitamins. Before surgery I liked the chewable just fine but afterwards my palate seemed to completely reject it and made me gag. Luckily, BA let me exchange the big bottle of chewables I purchased for the capsules instead and I've had zero issues with those. Sent from my LG-H810 using the BariatricPal App

  5. Good thing I didn't set a low goal.. Still maintaining the 197.8 weight, hoping for the stall to end!

  7. I had ended stephh's challenge without a scale and a goal of 195 but didn't quite make it.. However I did finally break ground into one-derland!!! So my starting weight as of today is 197.8 pounds and I'll say my goal will be 185.0. ☺ Thanks for hosting the challenge!

  9. Sorry I missed the weigh-in Monday, I'm visiting my sister for the holidays and she doesn't seem to have a scale I can find. But before I left I was still circling the same weight as before. Maybe when I get back home after the new year I'll finally be in one-derland!

  15. I dealt with this too but hopefully it will go away for you like it did for me. As soon as more swelling and pressure goes down in your stomach it will be better. I can drink 4 oz at a time now and it's SO much better. (sometimes there's still gurgling from drinking, but not the awful air pressure!) Good luck!
  16. 3 months, no, no, no. I still choose not to eat and drink at the same time just because I don't want to risk getting sick from being full and taking in liquids too soon after that. I don't feel like I'm affected any more now by alcohol than I was before surgery. I've tried wine, mimosas, amaretto sours, but will usually stick to cape cods (vodka and light cranberry juice). Can't drink fast and carbonation of champagne has to go even slower. Still kind of nervous to try my luck with shots, but if someone else who answers has any advice, I'd love to hear that too.

  18. 201.2 today! I'd hate to stall so close to one-wonderland, but my body seems to know what it's doing!

  25. I actually just cut my hair after a year and a half this past week to, probably, the shortest length it's been in my adult life (almost like an angled bob with the longest parts still above my shoulders). I'm only three months out and I'm almost to a 50 pound loss, but I'd say for the past few weeks my hair has really been coming out in the shower. I've got hypothyroidism, so hair loss isn't really new to me, and my General Practitioner just changed the dosing on my thyroid medicine, so I'm hoping it will resolve to a tolerable amount again soon. I cut it more for my peace than necessity. My showers would end up almost an hour long just so I could comb the bigger clumps out and then peel off all of the long random strands stuck all over me. Drove me nuts. Luckily my hairdresser said my hair looks healthy, so I'm optimistic about it. I definitely agree about the darker color for a while, but I'd say the length just depends on what you think you can handle falling-out-wise and how you think it looks.
  26. I found some really great high protein snacks through Amazon. It's great to be able to read all of the reviews too, but I've still ended up buying one that I really didn't like.. Just got these pickle or dill krinkles that are high in protein and super satisfying without actually having to eat a pickle, haha
  27. 208.4 this morning. Thanks, stephh!
  28. Hey there! There IS a holiday challenge. I can't seem to link on my phone, but if you click on stephh's name and go to her profile, you can view topics she's started which will include the holiday challenge thread. Hope that helps!
  29. @@bariatricwife - does that mean I need to take up tea drinking? Are there any you recommend?
