ScottsGirl reacted to Arts137 in Is it normal for weight loss to slow after several months?
Everyone loses differently, friend. I am only 2 months out and average 1.5 to 2 pound losses only. I am sure that you will get some more creative ideas, but a loss is a loss, so hurrah!

I have 5 and only 2 are noticiable at 10 weeks out. I expect they'll heal, I mean my c-section scars are pretty much invisible and they took 2 big full term babies out of there.
1 incision is amazing...never heard of that.

When is the typical stall period? I know its early and I am only 2 weeks Post op. I was 227 pre- liquid diet and 212 day of surgery and today I am 202. I have stayed on 202 for about 4 days now. I have read countless blogs and forums regarding stalls and trust me I don't want to panic now. When are the stalls typical? Another thing I haven't really felt full yet. I am eating softs now. I am just praying my dr. took enough out. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Stalls are typical at anytime. Early on the first one happens around 3 weeks out. Even when the scale is not moving, many people lose inches still. Take measurements so you have a record. You're doing great. It's totally normal to not feel restriction yet.

I've 5 or 6 that you can't see anymore (2 months out). The 'glue' just causes clotting... not a prob for me.

ScottsGirl got a reaction from Ms.Yvette in 1 week and significant muscle loss !
OMG! No Protein or Vitamins the first week?! This is SO crucial in recovery, especially for maintaining muscle. I am seriously blown away by this and would be interested to know if anyone else is. You should def make sure that you get in at least 80 grams of Protein a day according to most bariatric post-op diets (80-120 grams) AND take a multi-Vitamin. You should be able to regain your muscle deficit within a few weeks, especially if you have started short walks yet; just don't overdo it. I've been using 1lb dumbells for my arms while I lie in bed watching TV, the doc said it was fine.
Please let us know the outcome, I hope you get the muscle back quickly!

ScottsGirl got a reaction from MinnesotaDreaming52 in Difficult question to ask.
I've not heard a singe person mention this that I know that had the sleeve done. I am barely 12 days out and have no issues, quite the opposite. That lady may have crohn's or something else going on; she should have that checked out! More jealous sleeve haters, I think! I have a friend that had the bypass done, and I sat there at Jamba juice and watched her eat an entire soft pretzel and small smoothie... can you say streeeeeetch?
Oh, and my pretzel eating friend also told me NOT to get the sleeve done because there were too many probs, but according to my surgeon, it depends on "who" does the surgery! An inexperienced surgeon may have a history of problems, not necessariy a "general" sleeve problem. Just sayin'.

Ummm... Do you mean going to the bathroom as in a bowel movement? I would think the exact opposite is true.. It is more likely that you will have digestive problems with the bypass, like dumping and such.
