Sex after surgery

Ok ladies when is it safe to have sex? I'm 5 days post op and my husband keeps wanting it.....

I did it! I was told it was fine as long as I was up to it; 5 days after for me... you're right on schedule! :)

My surgeon ...actually, my male PA told me 4 weeks! I asked him if he was kidding and he said "nope, don't worry, your husband can handle it". I should have replied...."well, maybe you think he could, but I can't!" I guess he's not used to a woman with a high sex drive. LOL...genetics- Mom and sisters are like that too. I made it 1 1/2 weeks. ;)

I was told 6 weeks. Doc advised no strenuous activities for fear of hernia. I was so afraid I'd end up in the hospital, so I followed the rules exactly. NOW, week six, it was on and popping & hasn't slowed down since & I'm 9 mons post op.
