ShrinkyDinkMe101 got a reaction from LisaDM in Hit Onederland Today!
I hit Onederland today (199.4) at 7 1/2 weeks out. I'm down 42 pounds overall (14 pre-surgery). I'm so excited about this milestone! I'm playing my first tennis match since surgery tonight & my tennis clothes look so much better . Weight loss has slowed down to a crawl though...I thought I'd be posting this a week ago!

ShrinkyDinkMe101 got a reaction from gamergirl in What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
A few years ago I finally found an exercise I love (tennis) and kept getting injuries. Final straw was getting overheated on the tennis court and not being able to cool off because of the 100 lbs of "insulation" I've been carrying around. I just got completely fed up! My parents have high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea & one has had a stroke at 57. My husband told me a few years back that he was no longer attracted to me and my preteen daughter has started making remarks about my weight. I think I just had the "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" switch flip. My friends are very supportive and so far I'm really loving this surgery!

ShrinkyDinkMe101 reacted to Madam Reverie in "My perfect self"...am I ready for this!?!
Sod the jogging commercial. I'm going for rollerskating along a tropical beach promenade in white lycra mini-shorts, listening to 80's soft-rock whilst using sanitary protection for the first time in years, with Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Anniston as cheerleaders shouting 'you're worth it' as I flip my (no doubt) threadbare but shiny, fragrant locks (and a 'bird') in their general direction.
I say as long as you're compos mentis about the cons (which you clearly are), you have every right to revel in the potential pros. As Oscar Wilde once said: 'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.'
You go, girls! x

ShrinkyDinkMe101 reacted to FRED1977 in 60lbs lost in a month and a half
Wow feeling good today, I'm down a total of 60lbs including weight I lost during preop diet today. The last week has been filled with stalls and I didn't think I would see the scales drop until next week. Just wanted to share my progress. I had my sleeve on 07/29/2013 so about a month and half just about .......

1 month out tomorrow and I feel great! I'm down 34 pounds total (14 in 3 weeks pre-op & 20 in 4 weeks post op). I'll be starting back to tennis next week. I've ditched 2 clothing sizes. Dr. hubby who was against surgery has been VERY nice. I can drink liquids easily & am tolerating most meats. Life is good
