  1. Thanks guys.. Was just hoping to know something!
  2. I kinda know what your talking about.. And I'm tired of hearing because I'm technically considered a lightweight.. People saying wow.. You? Or my favorite thus far.. Well I don't think your that fat.. Your fat enough for exercise but not that surgery.. SMH
  3. I heard last Tuesday from my doctor that my surgery was approved by insurance. But they submitted the wrong code.. Hey submitted the one for the Lap-Band.. So they had to call in the new code to insurance to assure approval. As of Friday evening they still haven't done this.. And they won't set up anymore of my appointments until this is done. So once again I am at a stand still.. I am a planner and would love to know when my life is gonna change.. Ugh.. Just bummed I guess..
  4. Welcome.. Hope all goes well for you..
  5. Welcome.. And the first step is always the hardest and most important step to take..
  6. Best of luck to you.. All will go well.. Just take it a day at a time!
  7. Hang in there hun.. Friday is only a day away.. hope all goes well for you!
  8. I am very open and honest with my 8 year old daughter.. I tell her everything that is going on with my life. She has been to a couple of my doctors appointments with me where we were discussing the procedure or my weight.. Since then she has started to say oh my fat hips or my fat thighs.. She is tiny..a small fry.. I tried to explain to her that she is a healthy weight and that she isn't fat and mommy is doing this to get healthy I just don't know if what she has heard from me being to open and honest has harmed her.. :'(
  9. I was reading these to my boyfriend and he just smiled and said I'd be more than glad to help you get your protein baby.. Lol
  10. My boyfriend and I have a pretty healthy sex life now.. Lol.. I was reading some of this stuff to him last night.. And he was like oh god I'm in trouble after you have this surgery.. Lol I can't wait to try the whole him picking me up and putting me against a wall.. That's always been a fantasy of mine!,!
  11. Get'em girl.. you look great!! Kudos on going out in a bikini.. not for me this summer.. maybe next summer though...
  12. Hope all goes well for you.. sending good jue jue your way..
  13. I haven't had my surgery yet.. but from previous expierences.. just stay calm and take it one day at a time.. that's all you can do. Make sure you read read read.. to stay well informed of all the good and bad things that can happen. And just know that in the end it will all be ok.. hope all goes well for you..
  14. I called the insurance company today to check on the status of my approval and they told me that I was APPROVED!! Yeah soo doing my happy dance.. but then come to find out I was approved for the lap-band.. I called and talked to my surgeon and they are going to call insurance with the new code. (Which I call UHC and they said that's all they would have to do ) They said that I will hopefully have my appointment for my EGD around the 16th and surgery toward the end of July!! I can't wait!! I am soooo freaking excited.. thank you soo much for all of you that sent good jue jue.. On a side note.. you don't think that they wouldn't approve the sleeve, but approved the band do you? Since essentially it's the same type of surgery..
  15. I hope all goes well and they approve it soon.. sending good jue jue your way!
  16. Congrats.. that's great news.. hope all goes well for you and your wife!!
  17. I took photos the other night.. Not for surgery but as before photos for the Insanity program.. And I sit and cried after I looked at them.. But then I wiped away the tears and said never again!!
  18. Congrats.. Hope all goes well for you!
  19. I know that once you have the surgery you need to take daily vitamins.. What all vitamins do you need to take? I know Calcium, B12, what else? And how many grams of protein is a target per day..
  20. Send good jue jue your way!! I am in the same boat.. I am nervously waiting to hear back from the insurance company.. Hope all goes well for you!
  21. If your surgeon has treated people with the same insurance they know all of the requirements that you have to have and will tell you. When I went for my first consult there were things they marked off the "to do" list that is standard for everybody because my insurance company doesn't require it. So I would wait and the surgeon will let you know.. Best of luck!
  22. Like Amy said keep calm and take it a day at a time.. This process is long and has more than its fair share of ups and downs. Just surround yourself with people that support you and you will be ok. I haven't had the surgery yet.. I am waiting in insurance approval.. Which makes me a bucket full of nerves.. But I know that no matter what the outcome is.. From the moment I decided to start this journey I am going to come out on top with a brand new me. Best of luck to you!
