I haven't had my surgery yet.. but from previous expierences.. just stay calm and take it one day at a time.. that's all you can do. Make sure you read read read.. to stay well informed of all the good and bad things that can happen. And just know that in the end it will all be ok.. hope all goes well for you.. :)

You will do fine. Don't over-think the hospital experience: take minimal stuff with you to the hospital, for the most part they have what you will need; reassure yourself with the knowledge the hospital does surgery all the time and is well prepared for you; and think of how much better your life will be afterwards.
