I have the Jay Robb powders in chocolate and vanilla and am enjoying both of them. I've been using my nutri bullet to blend the powder with ice, almond milk, and half a banana...tastes like a milkshake:)

Im a midwife so I am kind of orientated to that area!
Women come in SO many shapes and sizes that it is hard to respond. BUT if you lose weight (particularly with extra skin left over) it will hang about. This occurs on the PUDENDA (the outside bits) too....I am not so much talking about the inner labia but more the outer meaty bits can be more hangy. Interestingly the word pudenda means SHAME in latin). However, having said this many many skinny woman have hangy outy bits. EVERYTHING is pretty much normal in womens genitals..I have seen it all. AND, to top it off most women are embarrassed and think they are abnormal if they don't look like 10 yr olds. Its sad really. Most girly bits are misshapen, slightly discoloured, somewhat hairy, somewhat hangy...... nothing like what we think everyone else looks like.
I like the name FUPA.....must remember that!

Ok so I had to share this with some people who would understand. I haven't had sex in a VERY long time partly because I was just too shy because of how big I was. I had very low self esteem made worse by one a*****e who did a real number on me, told me I was lucky that someone would ever want me sexually and other terrible things...
So I was sleeved in November and I have been going out meeting guys. I am now down 102 lbs and I have been noticing guys checking me out which is freakin awesome and I am no longer shy...well I have been seeing this one guy casually, nothing too serious and long story short last night we had sex. First time I didn't feel the need to cover up my body before, during, or after. He was very good and kept saying how much he loved my body (seriously almost cried but held it together). It was great, but I am gonna keep it casual, don't want to be tied down(metaphorically anyway) yet. I want to date around a bit (I was very safe last night). This is going to be an awesome summer. For the first time I am feeling empowered and I love it

Well it will be here before you know it! Did you have to do a liquid diet? I am in puréed and I am creative so it has not been difficult. Because I became gluten free a few years ago, I am used to being prepared with food and meals before I go anywhere. So same here - be prepared. Wishing well for you! Blessings ~ Melody

This is such a personal choice. I hope that your fear of telling isn't motivated by embarrassment. It is admirable that you are doing what you need to do to improve your health and quality of life.
I'm extremely fortunate. Over the years I have cultivated really good friendships (and it doesn't hurt that my circle of friends consists of nearly entirely therapists and social workers). They have all watched me struggle with my weight and work extremely hard to lose and keep off anything I might have lost. I also have a work group that are just an unbelievable awesome team. There will always be hateful and judgmental people out there, but I hope that you have at least a few people in your life that you trust enough to tell. You can do it alone, but it will be easier, emotionally in particular, if you have some support.
Fortunately, there is definitely a shift happening from thinking of weight problems as a matter of poor behavior to looking at it like a disease process. Someday, society with look at this as a medical condition that is exacerbated by our ridiculous food culture, and not some failing on the patient's part, but it's too bad paradigm shifts happens so slowly.
    Wishing you the best!

Here is where I got the idea for granola that incorporates Protein powder (I actually used Click...yum)
    http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2011/04/clickn-granola.html

    Shelly's CLICK'n Granola
    1/3 cup oatmeal, dry
    1/3 cup Sliced Almonds
    1/4 cup Pecans, chopped
1 scoop CLICK Espresso Protein Powder (your favorite flavor, I used vanilla Latte)
    1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
3 Tablespoons sugar free Torani Syrup (your favorite flavor, I used sugar free Vanilla)
    2 Tablespoons Almond Butter
    1 Tablespoon Butter
Mix together with a fork till clumps form. Sprinkle clumps of the topping onto a baking sheet (I lined it with foil for ease of clean-up) and bake for 20 minutes at 350. Allow to cool. When cool store in sealed container for several days.

Yes - I LOVE this stuff.
    3 eggs
    1 cup heavy cream
1 cup cottage cheese (I sometimes use more)
2/3 cup Splenda sugar substitute (granular)
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
(I add a little All Spice)
    Directions:
Whisk together all ingredients except cottage cheese until well blended.
    Stir in cottage cheese.
Pour into a greased 1.5 quart casserole dish and bake at 350 for 75 min. or until top is lighly browned.
Around halfway through, I gently stir so the cottage cheese doesn't settle at the bottom.
    Eat warm or cold.

It is *so* yummy if you are interesting in dessert flavors. I love cake batter, Cookies and creme, vanilla bean, chocolate truffle. Maybe others know some more good dessert flavors like banana foster, brownie, chocolate mint, banana split, etc. I would go for it as long as it is 1-2 carbs of sugar. Maybe we need just a good set of recipes for flavoring up the plain Protein powder.< /p>

I found out that I have a hiatal hernia when my doc did my endoscopy...I did not know I had one prior to this, but at least it explains my bad reflux. They will be fixing mine during my sleeving, but until then Pepcid is my friend:)
