  3. I have chosen the sleeve because it is only a restrictive surgery, not malabsorption. It also does not involve re routing anything...there is tons of info online that can help you make an educated decision...good luck!

  5. Used my nutribullet this morning to make a smoothie with ice, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, and part of a peach...yummy!
  6. I recommend talking to your doctor. I take an antidepressant as well and I don't like to make changes without consulting my psychiatrist. I'm also a mental health counselor and that is the same advice that I would give to my patients
  7. You can do it! I'm on day 3 of my pre op diet...I'm less hungry but kinda dizzy. I just try to keep focused on how good it will feel to lose weight and be healthy.

  9. My firs goal piece of clothing is a pretty Lilly Pulitzer dress that I bought in February, but has never fit...hopefully it will fit soon!

  11. I have the Jay Robb powders in chocolate and vanilla and am enjoying both of them. I've been using my nutri bullet to blend the powder with ice, almond milk, and half a banana...tastes like a milkshake:)

  14. So, today is day 2 of my pre op diet and I am slightly confused about protein shakes/ bars. I bought a couple different kinds from GNC, but am not sure if they are the right things. Does anyone have any good suggestions of which protein shakes/ powders have worked best for them, without tasting yucky? An advice would be helpful...thanks so much!
  15. I live in Columbia and have my surgery scheduled for 6/7...very excited and nervous...it would be great to have a support network of others from the Carolinas:)

  17. I found out that I have a hiatal hernia when my doc did my endoscopy...I did not know I had one prior to this, but at least it explains my bad reflux. They will be fixing mine during my sleeving, but until then Pepcid is my friend:)
  18. Mine haven't been too frothy so far, but I haven't tried many recipes so far...
  19. Mine is 3 weeks...I'm sure I'll start feeling a bit better after a few more days. At least I hope so:)
  20. I'm scheduled for June 27th...on day 2 of the pre op diet, which is tough...definitely scared but excited!
