  1. Nothing for me but daily running around. As I lost weight, I could do more running around. As I lost weight, I was definitely more active. So my weight loss came from just daily moving and doing.
  2. Yeah, I think it would be neat to do an excursion together too. Have any suggestions Ms. Blu? I think that gadgetlady will be calling people sometime soon for the rest of the payments on the cruise. Oh I am sooooooooo excited!!! I can't wait!:clap2: P.S. It won't be an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini (I am not the brave) but YEP, I am going to sport the kini's!!!
  3. I haven't been able to vomit since having the band. Spittle yes, but throw up no. Just the dry heaves. It sucks having the stomach flu. I just try and knock myself out for a few days until it passes.
  4. Neenagh, Just wanted to join the bandwagon to say you are looking amazing! What a great job you are doing. Now comes the really tough weight loss too! Keep up the great attitude, the last 30 lbs to lose are rough but I am going to use you as my inspiration!!
  5. Going to be moving to Highland Village/Lewisville/Double Oak area within the next year it looks like. Just one comment: "It generally takes at least 2 fills before you feel even moderate restriction." (this isn't true. I lost most of my weight on my first fill, and I only have had another one and it wasn't much extra, I think everyone is different.)
  6. To hell with it, I am gonna bikini shop. Or at least window shop. I mean, who the heck cares ya know? I know the people I will be around will be okay with it and who am I tryin' to impress. This cruise is a celebration!!!
  7. Anyone gonna brave a bikini or tankini? I am pondering the idea. Hmmmmmmmmm.... I mean, why not since I will be surrounded by supportive people who understand my journey? I mean, I think it looks good while laying down but standing up isn't so exciting. Anyone else pondering the thought?
  8. My cruise goal is going to be to maintain the 160. I have been having an argument with 160-170 for a few months now.
  9. Congrats! Just a hint from someone who just got back from a Hawaii cruise on NCL. If it is NCL, choose the America NOT the Pride of Aloha! Have a great time!!!
  10. Just talked to Candice again. She said she is going to extend the coupon code of WISHES for the discount to cover the shipping until Spring!!!! http://www.bestfriendsgeneralstore.com/mm5/merchant.mvc

  15. If I am going to Highland Village, which airport should I fly into? Dallas/FtWorth or Love? Where is each located? How far is it from each airport? Thanks! P.S. Any Dallas (northern suburbs) realtors on here?
  16. I am so glad my message has reached some people. While on vacation I was talking to a couple that their two shitzu's had the SAME thing happen. They didn't know about the snap away collars either. One shitzu died of strangulation. The other died a week later from not eating and exhaustion from stress. SAAAAAAAAAAD!
  17. What a sweet ol' girl. I hope your mom is comforted knowing that she loved her and gave her a great life.
  18. Here is the direct store link, talked to her today..... http://www.bestfriendsgeneralstore.com/mm5/merchant.mvc Do a search for keepsafe Lapbanders, If you use the code: wishes you can get 10% off your total, so basically free shipping! You can get the collars a lot of places. I am not benefiting at all from this, this is just where I went to get mine and she was very nice and offered the 10% for anyone else. I do not know her nor am I in any business with her. Just a place I found that was nice and organized.
  19. Yes, I am better. I sat and cried for awhile in the bath. It really scared me. We ordered ours today (and even ordered spares). But this had me so scared that I am on a mission of sending out information and education!! We have our dogs microchipped for ID but not all vets check them. Someone could just "claim" my dog and the vet would never even check. My vet said that sometimes dogs can have 2 or 3 chips in because no one checked. I definitely will NOT repeat this mistake. My dogs will have breakaway collars now forever. I was just so surprised that it happened so often. I thought it would be a fluke but it happens a lot. And once they are gone, they are gone. I hope some of you go and get the breakaway collar for your dog or cat. It is worth it to know that this could be prevented and many tears saved.
  20. You can always use the ignore button right?
  21. Sooooo, just wondering but if they don't ask me out fine... can I still have sex with them? Nothin' like the bounce in my ounce!
  22. Well this morning was quite a deal. Our german shephard and our lab were playing in the bedroom when they started yelping and coughing. Our lab got her lower jaw caught on the collar of the german shephard and they both started to panic and twist. It twisted our shephards collar to choking him. He began to wheeze and run. The lab puppy was being dragged. The shephard began to poop all over the place and his eyes were starting to "pop" out. He was having thick saliva and could not breathe. He began to go limp from not breathing. My husband held the dogs to stop them from twisting tighter and I ran downstairs for the hunting knife. My husband dug the knife in to cut off the collar, the collar was digging into our shephards neck. We cut them free finally. They both lived. After cleaning up the floor and ourselves as well as the dogs from rolling around in it, I did some internet searching. Had we not been home, our dog would have died. And the other dog would still be attached. It seems that strangulation is very common with collars. Matter of fact, there has been a site dedicated to it. It wasn't some freak fluke accident. This happens a lot to many beloved pets. Here are some stories: Celebrate the holidays, and the Gentle Spray Citronella Anti-Bark Collar as a behavior tool as necessary. Where can I purchase the KeepSafe Break-Away Collar, and how much does it cost? The KeepSafe Break-Away Collar is available from pet suppliers, retailers and veterinarians. The collar retails for about $15 to $20. Or click here to purchase
  23. pictures people, we want pictures! ((tapping her foot on the ground with her hands on her hip with a grown up scowl)) hmmmmm, can a grown up really scowl or is that an oxymoron?
