  1. Feeling great!!! SW 344. CW 241!!!! No longer shopping in the Women's department!!! Goal weight for me is under 200... So I still have a way to go but for the first time in many many years, I can actually see an end in sight!!! I LOVE my sleeve!!
  2. So this has probably been asked before but I can't find it. I'm almost 7 months out and doing awesome.... Except I have now been on my period constantly for over 2 weeks with no signs of stopping my doctor said it's most likely from the fat reasing all if the estrogen... But how can I stop it??? This is making me crazy!!!! AND totally emotional! Grrrrr!
  3. Girls you look wonderful!! Will share mine too Sleeved 6/3. HW 344 (in pic) CW 258
  4. I'm 5 months out on Sunday and down 84 lbs! I don't measure either. I can feel when it's time to stop. Rarely I go passed that point and oh my! It's not fun! You will get the feel of everything as you go along. Last Sunday after church I had a treat meal at Taco Bell. 1 taco and one piece of the chicken quesadilla. It was the perfect amount and oh so yummy!!
  5. For me it's been walking almost every day!! Most days I walk about 2 miles in about 31 minutes. Once or twice a week ill do 3-4 miles. Today i even did 5.21 miles!! It's fast paced but not kill you speed I've noticed quite a change over the last month or so in my upper thighs!!! Good luck!!!
  6. Absolutely NO complications!!! The first couple of days were slow going but since then it's been amazing!! Best thing I've ever done for myself!! Starting weight was 344. Today I'm 263. Sleeved on 6/3/13. Yesterday I did a 5k walked/jogged and today I walked 5.21 miles!! I think working out is the key! There are very few foods that cause me problems and I've only thrown up once and it was because I ate too much too fast!! Good luck with your surgery!!! It's awesome!!!!
  7. Holy cow!! You look awesome!!! I'm only about half way but here's mine 80 lbs down for me so far!
  8. I had a very interesting discussion with a friend of mine just this morning. He has gone carb free and lost quite a bit. He asked if I still have cravings because yesterday he went crazy and had 3 pieces of pizza... Some candy and more. I told him that I really don't because I can eat anything I want. I choose to eat healthy the majority of the time, but occasionally I indulge. Just last night we went to the fair and my daughter got the "curly fries". I had a few bites and was just fine. This lifestyle is not about giving things up, it's about making good choices. I refuse to "give up" foods. This is a forever thing. I just know that some foods can only be eaten on the rarest of occasions I was sleeved 6/3 and I'm down 80 lbs so far!!!
  9. Congratulations!! You look great!!!
  10. When were you sleeved? Are you working out? How many calories are you eating a day?
  11. Oops.... Forgot my stats Sleeved 6/3/13 Starting weight: 344 (seriously I still can't believe that) Current weight: 272 Starting size: 24/26 in pants and at least 3x in shirts Current sizes: 18/20 pants and 1x/2x tops!! Even bought an XL top the other day!!!!!!!!
  12. I feel much the same!! The bones are awesome!!! But there are definitely times I wish I could eat that whole steak, baked potato and maybe a dessert!! Then I think of the new size 18 pants that are already getting a little loose and savor the 4-5 bites of steak and 1/8 of potato )
  13. I have 4 saltine crackers and 1 tablespoon on peanut butter for breakfast everyday. I've had creamy AND crunchy. It keeps me full for a long time!! I'm 3 months out and down 69 lbs
  14. I think everyone is different. I think as long as the consistency of the soup is very thin you are just fine. I think I was doing about 4 oz in 30 mins at 5-6 days out.
  15. I was sleeved on 6/3. As of today I'm down 66 lbs!!! Best thing I've ever done!! My only struggles are if I eat too fast. I work out 4-5 times a week (weights and 1-3 miles of walking/running). My only skin worry at this point is my nasty upper arms... But I'm not giving up I started my journey at ugggg 344 lbs!!
  16. Wow! People can sure be rude!! I hope they never have any struggles and ask for advice!!! I've been working out tons too and been much more hungry AND able to eat more. Try complex carbs before working out and up your protein I'm 3 months out and 66 lbs down. Don't be too hard on yourself! Just keep on keeping on
  17. I slept on my stomach about 5 nights after surgery it he only problems I had we're when turning over... It was hard to do. Now, 3 months out, I find myself sleeping on my back and side as much as my stomach
  18. This will absolutely positively change your life! It is honestly the BEST thing I have ever done for myself! I had my surgery on 6/4. As of today, I am down 50 lbs! And it wasn't through starving myself or depriving myself of anything! I progressed naturally through the clear liquids, full liquids, soft foods and now almost anything...(no salad yet). Physically it is so easy! Emotionally its a little harder because there are many times that I want to eat more. Now that I've realized what an emotional eater I have ALWAYS been, it makes it easier. I see such a different person in the mirror now....inside and out! My energy level is out the roof and I feel like I have so much more confidence now! Even with about 80 lbs to go to my goal weight, its amazing!! Don't second guess yourself. Place your fears in Gods hands. Together with Him, you've got this!! Good luck on your journey!!!
  19. Everyone looks great!!! Here are mine so far... The left side is 5/20... Sleeved 6/3... The right side is yesterday... Down 36 lbs so far!!
  20. What a lucky girl! I agree with all of the above posts.... On the emotional front, let her know how proud of her you are.... Tell her she's beautiful.... Etc.... My husband has done that and it's been soooo helpful!!!
  21. I just wanted to share my progress!! I'm really starting to see the results!! Down 36 lbs!! The pic on the left is 5/20 when I started liquids. The pic on the right is today... 3 weeks post-op
