Is 4oz at once to much

I am 5 days post-op and I was able to finish 4oz of cream of broccoli soup over a half hour. I felt full when I was done but not stuffed. Am I pushing myself to hard?

I think everyone is different. I think as long as the consistency of the soup is very thin you are just fine. I think I was doing about 4 oz in 30 mins at 5-6 days out.

I was eating about 4 oz about 6x a day the first few weeks. Liquids sit for a little while but go right thru u. Once u start on solids, ull be able to eat a lot less. When I was on liquids (4 wks) I was convinced my sleeve wasn't working cuz I could eat a lot of soup.

I'm glad to hear this too. I had my sleeve on 9-10 and yesterday and today I have been able to drink my protein quicker. I was worried, my post op paper said 1-2 oz over an hour...but I think that's more for the first couple days when your stomach is swollen inside. Jealous of the soup though....I'm on liquids for the first 2 weeks.

I could do that too. When you get to soft foods and solids it changes.
