  1. Call your Primary care physician - he won't turn you away, and it will help you feel better.

Now come on, expecting to get an answer the 1st or 4th phone call??? I really hope the rest of this goes better for you - but - be prepared, you may have to push and prod people to get what you want.
  3. Most of us have lived your story! I am happy that you have finally been approved.
  4. Congrats to both of you!!! Good Luck and Happy Healing!!
  5. I really am grateful that i'm not in my 20's or even 30's - I DO wish I could have done this in my 40's but they didn't have it. I just think we're smarter at this age, i'm not sure if i'm any more patient, but I know that I never expect anything to be easy.
  6. Nice to know that 2.0 Boobs point straight ahead!!

I don't like the shakes either - you can try Isopure from GNC. It's a clear drink that comes in a lot of flavors 40g protein in a 20oz bottle
  12. Your Dr. is trying to make money on both ends - make your own S/F pudding and Jello, add unflavored protein powder to everything - buy fat free soup at the grocery - add protein powder. Don't let your Dr. make anymore $$ off of you!
  13. Thanks for your story. This is my last fat 4th of July!!
  14. I can completely understand that relationship with food - I think we can compare it to a bad relationship. Even though it's hard to walk away from - the bottom line is that the damage had to stop. Unfortunately with food, you just can't banish it from your life. ( I so wish I could) I really can't say what my reaction will be to this surgery - I intend to make the right food choices and since I have used food as a crutch for so long - I have my therapist to help me work thru the things I have used food to mask.

The only argument i've heard against strawberries are the seeds. After 4 or 5 weeks the stomach should be able to handle the tiny seeds in strawberries. I don't know about the seed in raspberries and blackberries because they're seeds seem bigger.
  16. Please, have the surgery, learn to work your sleeve and then get pregnant. I am an old Mom - menopause and the teenage years together anyone? I was 31 when I had my 1st and 33 when I had my second. Women are waiting longer these days and it's possible!!
  17. Although I am trying not to think in terms of NEVER being able to eat certain foods I enjoy after surgery, it doesn't seem to stop me from wanting to eat all the things I think I will miss. So am I kind of bingee these days?? Yes I am.
