  1. I too am having surgery on the 30th, and yes, I get nervous. I know that after I have this surgery (well, after the first 2 wks post-op) I will not regret it. This will be the best thing we have ever done for ourselves.
  2. Congratulations on getting your life back!!
  3. I'm not sure at this point, whether I was depressed and gained weight, or I gained weight and got depressed. I think I got to a point that I thought that I was too far gone with my weight to try anymore. When I stopped trying to lose weight. I stopped trying altogether. I stopped wearing make-up, the only clothes I really had were jeans and t-shirts. Anyhow, I looked in the mirror one day a couple months ago and decided that life is too short to give up on myself. I started to look into surgery, specifically, surgery in Mexico. I contacted Placidway, the patient coordinator from Hospitale de la Familia contacted me and everything was arranged through the hospital. So now I am waiting for my July 30th surgery date.
  4. I so appreciate your honesty - it's nice to have the point of view of someone who did not stay perfect. I would say most of us have food issues in our heads, not so much our bodies. We eat for any other reason than hunger. This is the first re-gain story that has been shared - but, you didn't let it get far, and you're working on turning it around. Good for you!!
  5. I just tried a Yoga class, and I can tell you - no Planking for me just yet
  6. OH, that is so wonderful - it's on my list of why I want this surgery
  7. Everything cherip said above - Happy Healing!!
  8. If you eat crap food everyday, all day, and don't follow the protein, veggies, fruits etc. If you started to do that, you'd probably gain it all back even without stretching your sleeve
  9. I can relate to your fears as well - am having surgery 7/30. I too have forgotten what it's like to be in normal sizes. The thing is, I did go on a shoe binge - I really hope my feet don't shrink
  10. Have you been outside?? could you have been bitten? See a Dr.
  11. Yay!! Under 200 - Way to Go!!
  12. My countdown is 17 days - i'm excited but a little scared. My husband asked me this morning if I still wanted to do it, I kind of hesitated and told him yes - but that I was getting scared

That's a shame - there are methods to control that. It sounds like you had an allergic reaction to either the anesthesia, or the pain meds. I can't believe they took so long to stop that. Surgery usually is not that pleasant - however, they should have done something for you right away.
  15. Wow!! 117 pounds lost - never to be seen again. Congrats!!!
  16. oh, and my hairstylist

  20. Who cares what a waiter thinks
  21. I quit smoking 4 1/2 weeks ago - I was one of those people that was going to smoke on my deathbed. No one else thought I would quit either. My motivation is wanting this sleeve to heal up tight. I didn't want to do anything that interfered with the process.
  22. OMG That sounds kinda uncomfortable. No more Granny Panties for you!!!
