I am not even going to sugarcoat this. I hated EVERYTHING about this surgery. I don't know if maybe I had a bad reaction to the meds, but I was VERY sick. I had to spend an extra night in the hospital, because I could not stop vomiting. How happy was I when the nurse FINALLY came in and stuck a suppository up my you know what! Each day I do start to feel better; however until I see the results I can't find the worth yet.

That's a shame - there are methods to control that. It sounds like you had an allergic reaction to either the anesthesia, or the pain meds. I can't believe they took so long to stop that. Surgery usually is not that pleasant - however, they should have done something for you right away.

Hi Jilly, sorry for your experience. Try to put it behind you and look forward to the future. I was sleeved 2 weeks ago in Mexico. I can't say I had any bad issues (just uncomfortable with the diarrhea at times), but every day gets better. This forum is a great place to vent and to find good advice!

I threw up (or dry-heaved I guess) constantly after I woke up for hours. I am now over 2.5 years post up, and do not regret a thing. The first few weeks are the worst. You just had major surgery. Trust me, things get better!

I too had the dry heaves for a few hours after surgery. I did not want to throw up. The first few days are the worst. Then you get over that liquid diet and things do get better.
