  2. Thanks for the info - I am not brave when it comes to pain, and throwing up is something I don't like as well. Do you think it would be helpful to tell the medical staff that Dilaudid does not make me sick - so maybe they'll skip the morphine?? Was your medical team in Egypt english speaking?? Wow, I thought I got funny looks when I said I was going to Mexico - if I may ask - why Egypt??

  4. Try Isopure from GNC - it's not a shake. It has 40g protein per 20oz. Comes in lots of flavors, and kills 2 birds w/one stone.

  7. I was going to go back to school 2 weeks after surgery. I decided not to because learning to work this sleeve will be an education in and of itself. Spring semester starts in January 2014. I think by then I should have evrything under control

  9. If you are hypothyroid, it's a pretty simple fix. Yes, you'll still need to get blood work done pretty often to adjust the dosage. It took a couple years to get my thyroid level right.

  12. I can't wait to find my hipbones again - 3 weeks out, you're doing fine. Remember, you had major surgery and now have serious calorie restriction. 1st you heal, and then you can beat yourself up for not jogging, or running a marathon.

  16. 2 weeks is a long time to be constipated - call your surgeon or PCP for laxative or stool softener suggestions

  22. The first week after surgery I don't think anyone can ingest the recommended amount of liquid - but it sounds like you're doing great. As you know,by reading this forum, it gets better every day
