Question on pain

I'm having some pain on my left side (I was sleeved on June 18th), and some pain on lower back. No fever though and I get some discomfort in my chest when I eat (I'm on full liquids). This just started happening yesterday.

I'm really hoping it's not a leak and I know everyone will say to call my doctor but it was done in Mexico and I'm afraid my insurance may not cover if anything would happen to me from it. I know it was a risk but I was hoping I would be lucky with no issues.

I guess what I'm hoping it's there anyone who had the same kind of pain and it was gas or just my body going through the healing stages? I'm a little worried.

I have the same! Was sleeved June 19 and mine started yesterday. I am almost positive it's just the woes of learning our new sleeves. If it gets much more than uncomfortable, I'd give the doc a call though. Good luck and feel better.

Well I seem to be feeling better now. Just so scared something was wrong you know.

hope you feel better soon....who was the surgeon that operated on you ????? R

I don't want to alarm anyone but I also had alot of pain on my left side that kept getting worse and I ended up having a hematoma from my drain site. So listen to your body and trust your gut (so to speak) and call your doctor if you feel something's just not right. Was hospitalized 3 days for this and it was very painful.

Call your Primary care physician - he won't turn you away, and it will help you feel better.

How are you feeling? Did the pain go away?
