  1. I really feel I did. The first couple of days were rough due to the NG tube but other than that, I've been able to drink and now eat puréed food with no problem. I was walking within hours and I was under for 4 hrs due to scar tissue.
  2. Breakstone live active cottage cheese has 10grams of protein per service. Even milk has protein. I'm use Hood 1% milk which is reduced in carbs and fat and actually taste good. Just a couple of suggestions. Hope it gets better for you.
  3. I'm two weeks post op and lost 14lbs.
  4. I was also told by my Dr that you should weigh in the morning after using the bathroom. Supposedly that is one of the most accurate readings.
  5. I started already. I have mentally told myself that it will reduce loose skin. Can't proof it but I figure if I believe, it may happen. Lol
  6. I'm two wks out and I use the designer protein shake. Not heavy as the pre packaged ones. I also started getting my protein from cottage cheese and today I puréed 2 oz of boiled chicken breast. Just a thought.
  7. It's an extremely low calorie food with no real nutritional. But it's great for weight loss and maintaining. I was never ever able to get passed the fishy smell even after rinsing n boiling.
  8. You are right. I need to stop comparing too. It's always easier said than done of course. Yeah that is almost a lb a day. I started cardio today So I'm hoping that will also help. @Mizzo, hope you go home soon. Thanks everyone. Kudos to all the weight loss.
  9. Slow loser. I have been good and yet I don't lose weight. I lost 13 lbs but I'm sure some was water weight so does it really count. Wednesday will be 2 wks post op. sorry, venting some frustration.
  10. Sorry, but what does OP mean?
  11. I don't know how to add on my fitness pal. Pls add me. I truly appreciate. Alyjourneys
  12. This is great. How can I add people. I'm new and just today I was realizing that I'm over my calorie counts and this would help me so much. Alyjourneys
  13. I guess feel different. I haven't always agreed with health insurance but I'm thankful for it. Ultimately they end up paying a whole lot more for our individual services than what we paid them. IMHO
  14. Lol. I got mine a few days before surgery too. I trimmed mine.
  15. No. Carbonated drinks are very bad for your new stomach. Pls try something else.
  16. I can understand even though I don't feel the same. It's tough. I will keep you and all are struggling in my prayers. Today it's dark and cloudy, but tomorrow the sun will shine bright.
  17. In the first four wks what would be a good amount of calories.
