  6. You poor thing...I giggled when I read this....well...these surgeons have seen the obese of the obsese that havent seen their sweet stuff in years....so I really dont think that would be a concern of yours at all...they are more interested in your tummy...the only thing I would do is make sure you dont have a plug in cuz you are NOT gonna be able to change that...Just saying I am 10 days post op and still cant bend in the middle...still sore
  7. I start my purree diet tomorrow and looking forward to a mexican layer dip, with refried beans, taco seasoning, sour cream, and taco sauce....

  11. Wow that is nuts...did you warn him that you go through mood swings with this?? It can be hard on our loved ones but if they know ahead of time it makes it a bit easier to understand.
  12. Havent heard that one before...today I had 2-3 oz of soup in a bowl and got like halfway through and I was done...
  13. I think you are getting the jist of it....RED MEAT is a NO NO at this point...we were told not to introduce Beaf till 6 months out...but there again each Dr. says something different...My plans are to have pork burgers...I love them.
  14. Did you kiss your surgeon? I prob would if it was me...I am days post op and down 15 lbs. So with I have done so I hope I will be right on your heels....See ya in Onderland...I will be there is a few months so cant way to say hi to you on the other side!
  15. 3 weeks post op and you are on still on clear liquids? Your body has prob gone into hybernation mode. every surgeons diet is diff..we are clears for 3 days post op then 7 days full liquids, then 3 weeks purreed/soft then introcuce regular foods.

  20. Hey there friend...it does get easier with each day...I was sleeved on the 23rd so 6 days post op...My tummy still is sore. I only took pain meds at night in hopes of getting some rest...today I got out of the house and went grocery shopping for my family...each day is better...once you are on full liquids in a couple of days you will be happy....cream soups feel good..had my 1st yogurt today..if you have something to keep your mind occupied that would be the best.
  21. I think you are doing fantastric.
  22. I am sure they do too...but no my dr. says no more than 3 oz per meal for life...Based on what I readying on here that sounds like people are eating more than that...just what he is saying. but they do expect that between meals you get a protein shake and water too..so maybe if you follow that pattern you may only need to 3 oz at a time.
  23. I agree with the others...You are doing this for a better future..Not sure what your life is like right now but you know what it could be if you dont help yourself and your future health...You may end up with alot more in medical bills for obese related issues than what you are in debt for now...Keep moving in the direction you have been do the surgery and everything will fall into place. Keep your head up and tell yourself you are worth every penny you spend.!
  24. That is so wonderful! You have probably been stressing out for long and now you have two wonderful supporters....You are gonna do fantastic!
  25. I was sick too after surgery....I was not taking my pain meds as often as they wanted me too and they said it led to my nausiousness...so they gave me a patch that I wear behind my ear and I would have to say it works cuz have not been sick since.
