Stall... already?

I know people talk about stalls, and that they're a normal part of the process and I've heard about the dreaded '3 week stall' but I'm only 2 weeks post op (yesterday) and although I have lost weight since pre-op and surgey, the scale hasn't budged in 5 days. In fact, I gained a pound. I've just been on clear liquids... so what gives??!!? feeling pretty bummed.

My first stall happened 5 days after surgery. I was stalled for 4 weeks. Then I lost some lbs for 3 weeks and then I stalled for 3 weeks. I lost more lbs and now I'm stalled again. I am convinced that is how my body is working. Lose the weight stall for a few weeks lose some more. Be patient. Remember everyone is different. Good Luck!

3 weeks post op and you are on still on clear liquids? Your body has prob gone into hybernation mode. every surgeons diet is diff..we are clears for 3 days post op then 7 days full liquids, then 3 weeks purreed/soft then introcuce regular foods.

Yeah, it's kinda crazy but you're right everyone's plan differs. Mine is 2 wks clear, 2 wks full, 2 wks purée, 2 wks soft. Don't know how to kick the weight loss into gear when my body is starving... haha....

My body isn't cooperating how I would like it to either. 5 days post op I was the same weight for about 3 days. I'm now almost 2 weeks out and I've been the same weight for the past 3 mornings again. Its frustrating!! However, on days that I'm not "Stalled" I lose almost a lb a day which is pretty nice! I definitely DON'T want to lose that fast forever but a quick jump start is nice...especially when I'm still only eating around 300-500 cals a day (I'm stuck on full liquids until 22 days post op.

I just keep reminding myself that as long as I'm getting my Protein in and drinking lots of Water the weight will eventually go away. So I'm trying not to get discouraged over a small few day stall here and there. I'm also trying to mentally prepare for longer stalls. bleh.

I lost everyday the first week. The next two weeks nothing them boom three pounds. Today nothing!
